  1. Thomas, this is FANTASTIC! Your story is an inspiration to me because my HW was 430 SW 386 CW 379, I am 9 days post op RNY. It's been hard to find stories of people who were in the same weight category . Keep up the good work! Thanks for sharing! Sent from my SM-N910T using BariatricPal mobile app

  5. Please include me as your buddies!! My RNY is scheduled for May 18th in Chicago. I started easing into my liquid diet also & lost 16lbs in a month. I started with a hp shake for breakfast & 2 lean meals per day. After 1 week, I went to 2 hp shakes & 1 meal.
  6. I'm May 18th as well, I'm in Chicago, University of Illinois. Dr. Hasaan. Do have to do a pre-op diet? I have to do a 2 wk pre op...full liquid, starting May 4th
  7. I start my 2 week, full liquid diet on May 4th. I'll have to drink 5 high protein shakes a day and in between I can have SF Popsicles /jello, diet snapples, broth
  8. Yes!!! Are you required to do a pre-op diet?
  9. Hi, I tried looking for the diet on the ste but couldn't find it [emoji26]. Do you mind posting it? I'm looking to lose more weight before my surgery. Thanks! Sent from my SM-N910T using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. On March 15th, I was in exactly the same position as you!! As a matter of fsct, I was supposed to get my surgery date that day a couldn't get scheduled bc I hadn't lost any weight [emoji26] [emoji26]. My Surgeon told me to lose "some" weight and he'll see me in a month. He even told me that because of my current weight, he was recommending me for the sleeve. That was my wake up call! The next day I started on a high protein /low-to no carb restructure (my mind and body doesn't respond well to the word diet). By my next appointment, I was down 16lbs! I was shooting for 30, but was happy & most importantly, my doctor was elated! I got my surgery date of May 18th! My doctor mentioned that being of a larger size is more riskier for fatty tissues obstructing the RNY so I would also like to lose sugnificantly more weight. Right now I'm doing a high protein shake for both breakfast and lunch and a dinner of protein (meat/fish) and veggies for dinner. If hungry, I snack on SF jello/Popsicles and a few almonds. My point is, you can definitely lose the weight! Find a program that works for you and try like hell to stick to it! If you don't hit the 50, you doctor may be happy to see "some" weight loss. Good luck on your journey! Sent from my SM-N910T using BariatricPal mobile app
