  1. Ok, great. So pre-existing may work for UHC now that you mention it. All of my blood work, lab work was done and all appeared to be WELL! BCBS has been billed and paid for the surgery that was in May, however all of my treatments weren't grouped together for an extended amount of time. I'll investigate more! 2. Hi Guys, I was sleeved on 5/10/16 & I'm almost in wonderland!!! Things are going really well...THANK GOD! I have a small situation, my family's Insurance has recently changed from BCBS to UHC and our particular plan does NOT cover anything related to Bariatric Procedures/Visits. It only matters because it was time for my 6month post-op check-up (delayed due to work schedule and doctors office schedule, etc.)! So what do you guys suggest. Thankfully, I called my insurance company to check and make sure my follow-up is covered. So what is typically done at a 6-month post-op other than checking my weight and ensuring I'm on track with my weightloss? I had my physical with my primary care physician a few days before 6 month post op date and I'm still well and healthy. Help me out sleevers... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  6. I'm almost 6 months out and almost 60 lbs down... I think ppl that don't see me often notice immediately. Those that see me daily/weekly started asking at about 30/40 lbs down? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Has anyone used them? Want to know if this is legit. I would love if my supplements and Protein shakes are covered, but I'd also like to know what they're NOT advertising if there are any hidden catches to insurance covering my shakes and Vitamins. Thanks, Sharee Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Hi All, I'm 5 months post-op and have lost a total of 55 lbs. I have noticed in the last few weeks my butt hurts if I'm sitting for an extended amount of time. Has this happened to anyone else? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. I'm glad you asked, I was just about to ask myself! 5 months post-op and typically range between 850-950 calories here lately. Wanted to make sure it was normal! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. I initially told my physician's office I was interested in going home the day of surgery as well. I changed my mind the more I thought about it and I'm glad I did. I felt so bad, they kept me an extra day. The pain was too much for me to focus on walking and sipping Water. So I went from "send me home day of surgery" to just let me rest so I can go home. Day after surgery was 10x better. Sent from my SCH-I535 using the BariatricPal App

  22. Yes, there are bad, bad ppl in any group of ppl. Don't relate their meanness to their skin color....they are just meany weenies! ???? Typically mean ppl are very tender and are mean due to so many insecurities. I see right through it...It bothers me at times, but I usually know the real deal without them saying it... I'm glad you aren't racists...because I'm nice and I'm brown! ???? Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App
  23. Oh. Yes, you are right..see I didn't even think of that! Where are you located in the US? I'm trying to see how popular this is. I'm in NC and my friend who recently had a bypass has one as well. I'm really private about my surgery so I only foresee myself using it, if I ever have to, with my family. I don't think I'll ever use it while on a work lunch. Thanks! Sent from my Z936L using the BariatricPal App
  24. Don't share anything personal with her. It seems she has issues and likes drama just like so many ppl at so many jobs. Keep playing your music and stay positive. I'm so private about my surgery very few ppl know. Like, my family and 5 of my closest friends maybe....It seems like you are a nice person so I'm happy your "boo-thang" is there to keep you smiling as long as 'D' doesn't poison her! ????
