  1. Congratulations! How are you doing? I am doing good! I expected the worse time ever but no pain, been popping every day. Water and Protein taste fine just have to sip all day to get it in. Energy has been good. A ittle gas with plain water but all manageable. I have been working from home since Wednesday. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App

  5. It really did fly by! I am glad I did it and it really prepared me for the surgery. I am 5 days away and I am just ready to get started. I heard St.Elizabeths was really good! BMC has a really great surgical team. My surgeon is just so relaxed it made me relaxed. Sent from my SM-G920T using the BariatricPal App
  6. Seeing as you have tufts I'm assuming you are in Mass?? Most programs here at 6 months. My surgery is next Friday and I had to go through a six month program that my insurance did not require at Boston Medical Center. My surgeons goal weight for me is 180( which happens to be mine also) although the BMI chart says I should be between 128-168(5'9). I had to lose 15lbs before approval. My friend in NYC lost her weight through a liquid diet before surgery . I would still look around because all surgeon are not created equal(he sounds uninformed...if u went to orientation and have been seing the nutritionist that should count) but all that I have looked up in Mass require 6 months of visits. 15. Hi All! Finally have a surgery date for 11/25, the day after Thanksgiving! I know I am prepared for this new journey! I have really been getting my mind and body prepared as best that I could. For anyone who went through the process or are going through the process, any advice? Anything to buy before hand? Bring to the hospital? Do in the weeks after? Thank you all so much! Also anybody have a date close to mine or the same date? Anyone in Boston who has been through the process?? I would love to meet other bariatric patients in the area. 18. I had my first appointment today and was set on the sleeve . I was told due my GERD that the bypass is the best option. My BMI is 44, my weight is 299 and GW is 180. Everyone I know has the sleeve or lapband(my surgeon doesn't do the Lapland anymore) and swears they are the best option. I am going to trust the surgeon.
