  10. Hormones, where you are in your cycle, can wreak havoc on weight gain or loss. Also I would take a look at the sodium content of what you are eating. I can tell you right now you mention pepperoni and that's very high in sodium. If you are using a food journal like MyFitnessPal you can look at your daily sodium intake. Just my humble opinion. Keep plugging away. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  11. I'm so frustrated. the day of my surgery I weighed in at 259 today I am 271 that's 12 pounds of Fluid and accumulated blood because I had bleeding post-op. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  12. For those of you that had an uneventful surgery, how long did the pain last? I had bleeding issues and ended up in the hospital for a week and still having pain. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  13. Being an RN I was fully aware of the fact that the sleeve is major surgery. However part of me thought my procedure would be routine because I did everything perfectly. I didn't cheat once on my pre op instructions, etc. Yet here I sit, with major swelling due to a bled and having to have 2 transfusions. Thankfully the nausea and gas pains have subsided but the pain from the massive bruising is what hurts now. Now it's just wait and see. Thank you for reading my self pity whine. 15. As everyone else says on this page, start back at the beginning. If you aren't logging every bite, start. If you aren't eating enough Protein and drinking enough Water, start. I'if you are doing all of the haddock then mauvmaybe you need to switch up your workout routine. Try interval training or lift heavier weights, any thing to keep the body guessing. 17. I'd be willing to bet that a lot of it has to do with insurance. I do also realize that food addiction is a real thing however no one's going to have a seizure because they didn't get their Ben & Jerry's. Where is a hard-core alcoholic going through withdrawal could have life-threatening seizures. So the physical dependence on drugs and alcohol does make medical rehab a little more necessary. I too used to think that weight loss surgery was taking the easy way out. Now that I'm going through it I think it is anything but an easy way out. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  18. I'm getting sleeved on the 1st I have 4 weeks off because I actually do have to boost patient up in bed, turn patients, lift patiets, and I work 12-hour days. My job doesn't have light-duty either. I know that certainly doesn't answer your question. But I do know someone who had a desk job and only took 3 days off work post op. 19. My starting weight is 263. I would like to lose 10 pounds in 7 weeks. Seems reasonable enough I suppose. Not sure how thing are going to go post op. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  20. I don't know if I had a few a food funeral per se but I certainly went to New Orleans a couple of weeks before starting my pre-op diet and I did not restrict myself in any way. I gained about 5 pounds and now I've lost 13. So I have more than made up for it on my pre-op diet. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
