I'm 27 and have my consult with the surgeon on 5/26. In my opinion the younger the better. I wanted to have kids by 30 so now I have to wait until after. I know several people who did it at 18 and 19 and there journeys were remarkable. The younger ones seem to not have issues and bounce back well. So all paperwork was received and I have been cleared by nutrition!!! I go see my surgeon 5/26/2016 for the consultation. From what I've heard; at that appointment if cleared I schedule my surgery date. this has been a journey. I am so excited.

Treat it like a pregnancy, everyone will have their opinion but only you know what's best for you and what you can handle. So I completed a surgery seminar,Psych evaluation, 6 nutrition appointments, physical, and pre lab work. I am just waiting for my the office to call me to set up an appointment with the surgeon. Then at that appointment I set my date for surgery. I'm so anxious tomorrow makes a week since I completed the nutrition portion and I hope to be scheduled in early June so I can drink at Toronto's Carribana at the end of June. I have been attempting this program since 2011 several times. I have been overweight since Kindergarten and have high BP. I am so ready for a lifestyle change.
