  2. If I had gained another thirty pounds from where I started I would have had a 2 inch hole between my legs
  3. Since im 60 and have only had mine 16 months the chances are probably better than average that I will have it the rest of my life.
  4. I believe there is metal in the band (at least mine there is) The back side of the port is made of Titanium so that during fills the needle will not be pushed all the way through it.
  5. Banded Jan.21 2008 Have 8.5 in a 14cc band good restriction had .5 cc on april 14 Have lost 97 pounds with 40 more to go.Corrently losing about a pound a week.

  9. Solution is simple. Its called "password protected files".Then you wont have to see it,unless you're interested enough to try and "hack"his password.Or, a stand alone harddrive or USB stick that he can unplug and take with him.
  10. I wouldnt be concerned. You sound like me,I lost 18 pounds the first 13 days, but slowed down to about a pound a week for the last 13 and 1/2 months.
  11. I say I have and it hurt like hell.My Lab jumped up on me and clawed me across my port.I was afraid to raise my shirt and look because I just knew that it would be hanging outside my body, held only by the tubing.
  12. Dont know for sure but you may have to do without the ibuprofen. Its a NSAID and some doctors reccomend that band patients not take them.
  13. I was told that I absolutely would not be able to eat pineapple, but I can eat pineapple until the world looks level.but, sometimes applesauce gets stuck. Its just depends on where I am between fills also sometimes even on what time of day it is.Nothing is fool proof with a band.
  14. Its really getting to be sorta fun now that I dont give a s@#% anymore.Going places and she cant find me.Burning up my cell and I dont answer.Im beginning to get a kick out of her.
  15. Im way ahead of you.I have income from some gas wells that was on family property and she cant touch any of that.
  16. I was told not to shower until the surgical tape came off by itself then shower as usual.
  17. Nursing is a good recession proof job.My baby girl (28) is a flight nurse on a medivac helicopter and she makes a ton of money. Its such a fast paced job that she has a hard time gearing down.
  18. You said exactly what I would have said.Although I've been banded longer than you I still have the same throwing up and going out to eat problems. Its embarrasing to still be eating long after everyone else is finished so,I usually just quit before I get full.
  19. You bet,dry white meat chicken just about kills me.banded 14 months ago and it still has not gotten any better with respect to chicken.
  20. Do like my mother did when I was young. We were poor and could not afford laxitives. She used to sit me on the pot and tell me ghost stories,it worked every time.
  21. The good part is Ive lost 100 pounds since my surgery 14 months ago and ,if I say so myself,Im beginning to look pretty damn good. Not nearly as unattractive to the opposite sex as she thinks I am.
  22. Not much changed since my last update.they're going off for a weekend the weekend of April 3.Thats ok with me it gives me some time to do someone else (I mean something else)No communication here (sex)since last Sept.Kinda like living with my sister. But,Im not leaving my house and everey thing Ive worked for for 40 years.Im trying to make her leave, but not much hope of that,we have a very nice house and a lot of nice stuff. Why would she give up her pie when she can eat it too:tt2:
  23. I know what you mean.My favorite things to do used to be going to either a Chinese buffet or a seafood buffet, but now I cant eat enough to be worth it.It also just doesnt seem to be as good as it used to be.Now I usually just eat something at home.Im saving a ton of money. My restriction has really lasted this time.My last fill was on Jan.21.I now have 8cc. in a 14cc band and have lost 90 pounds in 14 months.this restriction has really lasted longer than the other fills.I think I may need one more small fill before im there.Im supposed to get that on April 16
