I'm with you! I'm at day 13. I have introduced some soft foods and tolerated them all well. I've lost 24 pounds. I have noticed since I've added a few foods.. my loss has slowed down. Maybe the first stall. But grr! However, mostly all my pain is gone. I too get pains under my ribs and I still seem swollen in my abdomen. I reckon that will go away. Wow, I thought my doctors were strict. They say all of hose things trying to keep you from any discomfort. I just tried little bitty bits of things to see if it would bother me. Nothing has so far. Just curious if anyone else experiences this! Since surgery 4/20, I've dropped 23 pounds, 11 days. I'm not sure if it's Water weight gone that had exposed my legs or if it's from blood thinners in the hospital. ..or WHAT.. but. .. I am very touchy on my legs. Knees down...any pressure that hits my legs hurts! I've also noticed laying in bed at night my hips will hurt depending on which side I lay on. I dunno!? I have the unjury chicken also. I had some the day I came home. I didn't mind it at all...until........I fell asleep. I woke up and reached for a drink of the now cold Soup. Ugggghhhh. Never again. I can't stand to look at the jug of the stuff. I have the chocolate also. I didn't mind it pre-op. I made it with almond milk and ice. Now it is room temp Water.... I'm struggling to get it down. Everything is sweet, I oddly struggle with this. Never thought I'd say that. I think it's all the faux sugar. ...you know. ..how the seem to try and over compensate to taste good? They give me the shots there of b12. I absolutely can't stand the Vitamins and calcium they want me to use. I ruined myself from.broth the day I came home. I don't think I'll ever want it again. My 7th day today.. I woke up 22 pounds down. Things I've decided today: 1) to get out of this house 2) to finally hold conversation with people 3) I am completely a failure with the Proteins Vitamins provided by my surgeons office 4) I'm near dehydration 5) I've drank drank drank and drank some more 6) I decided to get some gummy viatamins, Calcium, and b12. I had to cut metformin. When I went back to work full time I quit. It tore my stomach up SO bad. There was no way I was going to take that and work. It did really help me with my hair regrowth so I hated to do that. Now... post surgery.. with all the discomfort and gas pains and such... @@jccanada you are NOT going insane. I was exactly the same - no focus and no care to chat to anyone. I had a big old baby cry (wracking sobs and all) in front of my ex and 3yr old yesterday cos i feel so useless and sick. But the fog is lifting..... Clearer today and (fingers crossed) slowly returning to my old self. I actually held a conversation longer than 1 minute last night with a friend that popped over. I think thy said after 2 weeks. I notice everyone else gets them right after though. They also told me everything had to be room temp. Everything. It makes all of it, very unappealing. I appreciate the tips I'm having my husband pick me up something with some electrolytes here in about an hour. I just am tired of all the sweet flavors.
