  1. I was sleeved May 9th as well amd would love to be in touch with others sharing that time frame.
  2. SO I agree with the whole thing about needing Protein but I also have to add that its all pretty confusing. I am stalled at 7 weeks after a total loss of 28 lbs, including the 10 lbs. I lost pre op and then 18 after. Here is where I think the confusion comes in. We are told to drink 64-80 ozs. of Water and leave 30 minutes before and after food intake. We are also told to eat a minimum of 60-70 grams of protein. We are also advised to stay in the 500 to 600 calorie intake range. Are you kidding me? I am a lable reader and if I drink 2 Protein shakes a day that gives me 60 grams of protein and 320 calories. That doesn't leave me much room to eat other sources of protein and stay under 500-600 calories. So basically I have been living on protein shakes and I hate them now. Unfortunately, I have a long way to go.( about another 4o lbs.) I can't imagine trying to do all of this on a plant based diet but right now I am craving a huge salad. i would love it if one of you sucessful people could post your day's intake.
  3. I had gastric sleeve surgery on May 9th, 2016. I am amazed at how little interest in food I have now. I sometimes think it would be nice to have a taste and do and thats it. I am satisfied. I had the 36 bogie. Could you interview another doctor? i am really happy with this decision.
  4. I have the same issue. I probably still do but I have started taking two tablespoons of Milk of Magnesia every couple of days and that seems to be doing the trick. its miserable so good luck. I hope that helps.
  5. I feel your pain! My surgery was on May 9th. I lost 10 lb. during the pre op. diet and now am down another 16 lbs. Thats four and a half weeks, so about 4 lbs a week. i thought I would drop a lot more in the beginning but at least its slow and steady. Stay the course!
  6. I'm having the same issue. I have started to take two stool softners every day. Lets see how that works.
  7. Can we talk burping? I had my surgery May 9th. Every time I put any food in my mouth I burp like crazy afterwards. Sometimes I burp alot after drinking liquids too. I have made a point to chew like crazy and eat or drink slowly. Just curious what this is all about.
  8. I had my surgery May 9th. I lost 10 lbs during the pre op diet and only 6 lbs since the surgery. I really expected more. I am getting in 40-64ozs. of Water and have met my Protein using two Premier Protein drinks. i acan't do much excercise because I am awaiting full knee replacement. any ideas to speed up the loss?
