I got mine 7 days ago, my surgery date is June 8th. I didn't want it, but it is required and I have to say that seven days I've got a new attitude about it! I'm using a nasal pillow mask, least bulky of the choices and I'm sleeping again. It's been literally years since I've slept well. Just one more bonus for going through this process to get my sleeve! Thanks Montana Gal! Your response gives me hope All I want to be able to do at this point is get through the day with less pain and walk my dog on the nature trail down the road in the evening! I attended my first support meeting this past week and this site was recommended in the meeting. I'm so glad to have found these forums!

Hi everyone, I'm 50 with pretty severe mid-foot arthritis and some knee pain as well. I was wondering if anyone in a similar situation before VSG found relief through weight loss? My Ortho strongly suggested that I consider the surgery to help improve these conditions. I need to lose around 120 lbs. I'd love to hear if you found relief from these types of pain after the surgery. I'm hoping that I can find some relief from pain and increase my mobility in the process! Thanks!
