Anyone Struggle Today?
I struggled today at the, family cook out. Totally derailed. I did real good most of the day. Had a shake for Breakfast, and apple. Walked 3 miles with the hubster and dogs.Had a shake for lunch, nuts and apple for a snack. I wasn't really hungry allday. But boom... at the cook out all the bad eating happened. I was not hungry but I ate way too much and poorly. There were healthy options but I didn't choose wisely. I know I can't change things and I'll be back on it tomorrow. I have my 3rd pre op weigh in tomorrow so I'm stressing a bit. Over all I've been eating okay. A few of off the wagon eating but no where like before this process. I'm probably making too much out of it. But augh . I have a very busy 3 weeks with graduation, parties, a ball, and several picnics. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Struggling
Augh... from the past week I am struggling on eating right. I'm going for my 3rd preoperative weigh in in a week. I'm just frustrated. Stress is high right now. I'm trying to meditate. Extra walking. It's prom season for my daughter. She's going through something emotionally this entire school year and won't talk about. My son is graduating high school and he's off kilter. He's autistic so changes are extremely challenging. Work is difficult. My go to support people are very busy at the moment. I know I have many blessings in my life. I am very lucky to have people around me that are supportive for the most part. I'm just frustrated and could use a few bits of encouragement and advice. Thank you Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Pre-op constipation
Miralax is amazing! I use it because I have chronic constipation. I use the generic equivalent because it cheaper. I'm sorry that you are in such pain. I do know how it feels. Hang in there. Keep up fluids and sometimes brisk walking can help get you moving. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Stepping closer
Yes, I have been using the medical providers my surgeon recommended. It so happens they all have been in my network for Insurance. I have a very high deductible if I don't stay within my enhanced network so I check and if it's not in the special network I ask my surgeon for another recommendation. Stepping closer
Alright! I had my endoscopy done. All clear. Completed sleep study, had my 2nd of 6 weigh-ins. Down 7 pounds. Psych Evaluation in May. My bs has been in a more acceptable range. I am chugging along. I have been drinking Protein shakes most days and found a few that I like. New goal is to replace one meal a day everyday with a shake. I am chugging along. Hope everyone has a blessed day. What was your "Yep. I'm getting WLS." moment?
This may sound shallow but my absolute final straw was when my shoe size went up and wider. It's been building obviously for years, diabetes, loss of ability to do sports. Unable to keep any weight off. But the shoe thing set me off more determined than ever. It's funny how a little thing can just tip the balance Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Anyone keep the surgery under wraps?
I have told a few people. I am selective because don't want the negative nellies to tell me I just need to try harder and not cheat by getting surgery. These are the same folks who say I need to whip my son's ass to correct his autism. ( I won't start on that topic because I can rant forever lol ) But I do have a great support system in place. I'm just so ready to get healthy and hopefully drop the diabetes Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Visit a doctor first time
I feel your nerves! I started my 6 months of supervised diet on March 29. I'm totally freaking out over numbers. I have been stable between 280-288 lbs for the last few years. But I'm worried that I won't be 285 lbs (starting weight) or below. I'm trying to get healthier in eating, taking the Vitamins and moving more. Best advice I received: Trust the process. It's a marathon not a sprint, just keep chugging along. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

Just started my 6 month supervised weight ins
After over 10 years of going from obese to morbid obese, developing type2 diabetes and all kind of achy joints, I finally am ready to start! I've done the info meeting, 1st consult with surgeon, 1st visit with pcp, and nutritionist. Scheduled the endoscopy and psych visit. Arranging the sleep study. Now it's a numbers game and waiting. I'm struggling with evening/ night eating. Any suggestions for trying to curb the sweet and salty craving? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
