  1. Thank you I will try that. I had some different Protein this morning with a little more sugar and that seemed to help as well. What a ride this is! Halfway there! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Well, it's Day 7 of the pre-op liquid diet and I thought it was getting better but this has to be the worst day yet. Feeling like I could actually pass smooth out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Yes, having a surgery date makes it so much more real. Cigna should have just 15 days to approve or deny (or ask for further information). So you should hear something by the 26th. Hopefully it won't be that long! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  10. Oh @@Katrinakit a month! I'm sure it will get better as your body (and mind) adapts. Haha I have been adding some ice and coffee to my chocolate Protein drink in the mornings along with a few drops of hazelnut or caramel flavoring (0 cal, no sodium or sugar) and it's like a treat of iced coffee in the mornings! We have to get creative here lol. I agree with work, next week will be my last before surgery and it does keep my mind occupied ... Aside from everyone around me eating at their desks! 11. Hi @@WantToBe I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! I am with Cigna and the girl at my surgeons office said lately she couldn't believe how fast approvals started coming in from them. Lots were within 1-3 days. I will be praying for a quick approval for you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Thank you @@KristenLe - it could be. I am very leary to take anything even if over the counter, I had a reaction to prescribed medication back in December and it has turned my life upside down and caused an enormous amount of health problems which is what actually led me here. I am still not back to myself. So I will just drink some black coffee and hope it goes away. That is a possibility though. It is pouring rain here this morning. Awe, I hope the 6 months passes quickly! It seems so long! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. Oh my, tomorrow! Good luck @MesKTS! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Well today is day 6 and the calories aren't a problem anymore (have to stay under 800 and usually end around 715) but I do have quite the headache this morning. You really just miss food and get so tired of drinking everything. 9 days till surgery! @@SweetCin72 I do hope your headaches pass soon! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. My surgery is scheduled for April 26th and I requested 2 weeks, I am hoping that is enough as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Does your doctor require you to cut out caffeine @@SweetCin72 - could that be the problem? I wasn't required to but I tried to cut caffeine the first day and nope wasn't happening. Had some black coffee the 2nd day and the headache went away. We are giving up so much at once I think I'll just tackle caffeine another day Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. It'll be here before you know it! Good luck and hope you have a speedy recovery! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. It wasn't my first choice either but this is where I am so I decided to go forward. Sounds like it's certainly a good option for your situation. They are also fixing a hiatal hernia for me as well. Hoping it doesn't add too much more pain or recovery to the procedure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. I am having surgery in 10 days and I am doing the same thing. We will be okay and I am pretty sure it's normal Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was doing great until I got an approval and had a surgery date then I started eating whatever I wanted unfortunately. pizza, chocolate, you name it! I gained 5 pounds back very quickly that I had lost on my own. Luckily I do have a 14 day pre-op liquid diet so that is taking it back off and then some. It is really an emotional thing for me, it is so hard to give up food. Something I still have to work on if I want to succeed long term. So far I am 5 days into the liquid diet and not one cheat and it's been hard but getting easier. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
