  1. Finally, No car to meet me, I was in a blind panic until he turned up half-an-hour late. Halfway to Brno smoke started coming out the bonnet so we had to limp to nearest services and wait for a replacement car. Got here finally about 9.30pm. I'm shattered, left home at noon. Clinic lovely and spotless, nurse speaks good English and is very friendly. I nearly snapped her hand off as she brought me some dinner. Bobos for me now, I'll update you when I can as it all kicks off tomorrow around 5.30am apparently - deep joy! Nighty night x
  2. I've lost 13lbs on my pre-op diet, so hopefully that will help. How do you add tickers, I can't get mine to work?
  3. Thanks for the support and of course I'll keep you posted when home.
  4. I fly out tomorrow at lunchtime. I'll update you when I get back on Friday.
  5. I've been liquid all day today so I'll carry that on until Monday.
  6. Thanks. They didn't give me any info so I guess I'll just have to take my chances but I'll be very cross if my op doesn't go ahead because of it.
  7. You don't know how I feel about less fortunate people, my statement is mere fact.
  8. Is this necessary, why try guilt-tripping people when it's neither their fault nor something they can fix. Some have, some have not, that's the way of the world.
  9. I haven't bought any, I don't like them Don't know what I'm going to do yet.
  10. Think positive LuLu, if you give in and eat the chocolate you'll only spend the rest of the day miserable and mad at yourself. Whereas, if you don't, then you'll feel awesome that you resisted.
  11. Just checked, I don't need one. Phew!!!
  12. Visa? For where, I haven't got a visa *panic*
  13. It's really weird, I'm strangely not hungry and not craving anything. If you handed me a tub of Mackies Ice Cream and said 'go ahead', I demolish it just because I could but I'm not craving.
  14. 3 days to go and still pretty calm about the whole thing. No nerves or apprehensions just want it over with now and get on my new journey.
  15. I'm worried now, my company didn't put any emphasis on the pre-op diet, they just said to me 'try to eat healthily until you go away' . I have been strict with myself; porridge for Breakfast, and a lean cold meat salad for tea, the odd cup-a-Soup here and there, no Snacks, some fruit and lots of Water. Have I done enough?
  16. I'm wondering the same thing but I don't like shakes I've bought some baby food.
  17. Where are you having it done Lulu?
  18. One week tomorrow, can't wait to have it over and done with. Don't feel nervous at all, I'm actually quite calm about it. I'll probably have a melt down at the airport
  19. Thanks Catlady, I would assume it has the relevant nutrients.
  20. Is baby food a viable option? I quite like some baby foods.
  21. Typo sorry, DVT, yes to stop blood clots. I'll keep you updated only 11 days to go,
  22. I'm going with Beautiful Beings, I fly to Prague but it's about a two hour journey from there but they collect you an take you back to the airport. It cost me around £4200 plus £120 in flights from M/cr. I didn't have to ay £70 for my CVT injections as my GP is going to do them for me.
  23. Thanks Oasis but I've spent so long making excuses about why I shouldn't have it done and then I realised that I don't actually have a life, I exist. I wont go out because I've never anything to wear and feel rubbish, I can barely breath after a few yards, my bones ache, knees have gone, it's pathetic. I've got a good few years left in me (hopefully) and I don't want to spend them like this. I regret the time I've wasted and 95% of what I've read is positive, the general consensus seems to be that most people wish they'd done it years ago.
  24. Hi Oasis I didn't really see much on Belgium when I was looking, all the positive reviews I came across were about Prague but I decided not to get too hung up on the why's and wherefores and just get on with it. What will be will be, In the words of the bonkers George Michael "You gotta have faith".
