What the F**K Up with the Constipation!
I had to add Benefibre to my drinks, plus was advised to get Osmolax. This combination worked for me, finally. Now, with high Protein meals, I have to do the same, otherwise nothing happens. Very early post op, some weird stuff came out, similar to your description .... alien stuff .... Water by itself did not help me. Good luck, it should get better!

I sound like a bath tub!
I sound like that after I eat too fast, often accompanied with hiccups. Initially, I started this bath-tub sound (love the analogy), soon post surgery, accompanied with little burps as well. Stomach is still healing, healing soon post op, and healing further down the track. Reading posts from members, some have it years down the track .... This may/may not happen to me .... however I am not holding my breath. Time will tell .....

Hiccups..... sort of...?
Over 8 weeks, get hiccups when I eat too fast .... Also, I often get little burps as well .... I wonder if these ever go away, or as the other members said, that it warns us to slow down or eat different food that is more agreeable to the New Tummy ..... Actually, I am sneezing more too .....

Nothing to speed up weightloss like divorce
@@csawesome Hugs and best wishes to you. So sorry to hear about your situation. There are some great posts here and advice. Yes, appetite goes down due to stress. It is tough enough without WLS, and so please look after yourself, hydrate and try to have your Proteins and Vitamins. 10 years ago I had a de-facto divorce, and it was a very stressful time for me. I had to get a lawyer, the legal/financial aspects dragged on for 9 months, and I had to get counselling. Lost lot of weight. Take care of yourself, get plenty of support, look after your thyroid, and one day it will be over. Hugs, Margo

Anyone have significant Pain 3 weeks out?
@@coler Gosh, I do hope this heals for you very soon! I am just over 8 weeks post op, but as I said, I did not have hernia repair. Perhaps post your question in another section as well, such as : http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/429-gastric-sleeve-surgery-complications-support-group/ Good luck, Margo

Anyone have significant Pain 3 weeks out?
Sorry to hear that. Has the surgeon explained what exactly is causing this pain? Sure, people have different pain thresholds, but more important is the root cause of the pain. There are so many variables, the dangerous ones are: infection, leaks, and I hope that this is not your case! I never had a hernia repair, so I don't know much about it. Only gastric sleeve. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Psych evaluation required?! Why?
I had my 100 questions thingy also .... plus 4 visits with my bariatric psychologist pre op. She even told me to call her if I had any issues during my hospital stay, and she would come and visit me. I have seen her once or twice post op, and will be seeing her once a month for few months, then possibly less frequently. My weight loss surgery clinic insists on both pre op and post op bariatric psychologist appointments. Actually, the clinic has team meetings all the time, to discuss the best option/care/treatment for any patient.

In the first month
8 weeks post op, and I lost 28.6 Ibs (13 kgs) Had a stall in week 3-4, then started losing again. My few NSVs: I can cross my legs again, I fit into my few tops, my skirts are loser, and I can wear my favourite watch again. People started complimenting me I am starting to feel much, much better. Good luck with your surgery @@TamaraRae

Anyone have significant Pain 3 weeks out?
Have you called your surgeon? Has your pain been constant, every day since your surgery or just came on? In any case, if it was happening to me, I would be on the phone to my surgeon ASAP! The only increasing pain I had was my worsening gastric reflux. I called my surgeon, saw him ASAP, and got a different script, the new med has been working well for me. Good luck, and please call your surgeon.

Hiccups
I hiccup when I eat bit too fast, at times. My hiccups go on for a couple of minutes, then stop ... I also sneeze lot more these days, and I am blaming my thyroid condition for this, but perhaps it is the sleeve as well ?

What food have you gone off, and what food do you now like/prefer ?
I hope that chocolate will stay away ..... Right now, anything too acidic gives me grief. At this stage, I also went off: rice (never liked it), butter, cakes, biscuits .....

What Is the Craziest Thing You’ve Ordered at a Restaurant?
I haven't been to a restaurant yet, only cafes. Mostly my friends will have a meal, wine etc, and I just order a big Cappuccino and Water .... At 8 weeks post op, I am still experimenting with different foods, at home I am sure that there will be few eyebrows lifted, once I come out and start eating out ..... Great topic! Thank you, Alex

What food have you gone off, and what food do you now like/prefer ?
I am curious how the taste buds change post surgery. At 8 weeks post op, I now see few changes: Off/Don't eat: red meat lettuce chocolate Snicker Pods bread tomato/V8 juice apple juice equal chilli pepper pepper tabasco any dry type food On/Prefer: chicken, fish (especially Salmon) brewed black tea cruskits cottage cheese diet jelly Vaalia vanilla and Natural yoghurt stevia spinach Still love my coffee, have brewed coffee in the mornings, then decaf later. I can tolerate little amount of vanilla ice-cream, as a treat, once a week, instead of 2 bowls 4-5 times a week. I am still early post op, so my taste may change again.... Would love to hear form others, re change in foods and tastes

Surgery
@@sbdooly73 Yay, one more sleep ! Good luck! For me the hospital stay was very quick, even though I went home on the 4th day. Time went really fast for me, I had my iPad with me and my phone. The first 2 days I was in a drug haze ... lol I too, like Buddy, thought it was going to be lot worse ..... All the best

@@Killian This must be hard then to take it in the morning for you, as you need at least 1/2 hour (ideally 1 hour) prior food. When I worked shift work, I had to have a coffee straight away, when I got up. I don't know if you have a Breakfast at 3.30 or so .... or later once you get to work. With just coffee or tea in the mornings, providing it is consistent, the switch may work. Yes, please discuss it with your Endo. What I do to remember to take my med in the morning, is to take it our of the fridge the night before and put it in my little pill container, on my bedside table, next to my glass of Water. It is a habit now, so it works for me. With skipping the Sunday dose, I put reminders in my phone for Saturday evenings, and a posted note on my med package in the fridge. Good luck, Killian

@@Sajijoma I agree with Daisee68 : Yes, your NUT is nuts, totally ! Your weight loss is fantastic, Congratulations! This is a loss of almost 8kg a month! (17.5 Ibs per month !) ! My dietician (NUT) told me that losing 1-1.5 kg per week is normal and good. Up to 6 kg per month ( 9-13 Ibs) good luck with your nutty NUT ..... maybe you can get a saner one .....

Wrong Information in My Profile. Can't Edit!
Hi, How do I Delete the "krakow hasn't added any information about themselves" in My Profile? All the info Is There! Also, I set my values to Metric, and in My Profile it shows Ibs, which looks silly. I can't change this, every time I hit Edit, it persists with Pounds. Yet, on my info under my avatar, it shows correct weight values .... Thanks
