Hi every one ,I am glad to be back,been hectic with ex leaving me same week as surgury but that didn't stop me!my journey started slow with my lapband surgury in May of 2008. Now I have had a few fills I finally feel like its working for me. I've lost a total of 72 lbs so far! Yay,my stomach has shrunk and i do not get hungry any more.I eat mostly healthy but I do believe a small cheat satisfyes a craving and that works for me.I have set limitations on what I can cheat on and how often,such as anything lemon:tt2: Here are a couple pics from my befores and now,I won't say after because i am not finished yet.I square dance and walk 4 to 5 times a week ,fast.I love listening to my Mp3 player while I do. Ok can anyone let me know what to do? I am so depressed!I had surgury on May 9th this year and did well before surgury and right after.It was less painful than I thought and I lost 30 lbs.I had my 1st fill in June 1 1/2 cc.I was starting to feel hungry ,and thought this would help.I had absolutely no restriction and tho I drink plenty feel hungry!Now I went to dr for a fill in July and he said he would try to put in another 1 1/2 cc.When he injected port he could only get .2 cc in ,omg thats nothing.He said there must be an air pocket or bubble? anyone here of this and how does air get in and does it come out.He didn't schedule me for another whole month because he says I still lost 7 more lbs.My appetite is just as before presurgury liquid diet.I'm fighting it but feel depressed and feel:confused_smile::biggrin: that I will lose the battle.The reason I has lapband surgury was so I would have a tool to help me control my eating.Please help me!

Hi was banded 5/9 and started on prtein shakes 3x a day ,then at 2 week mark I started mushy foods such as scrambled egg(heaven),cottage cheese ,strained creamy soups,yogur,and sugarfree pudding:),and I get full ,never feel hungry but get cravings.Started my walking too.I bought a cooler bag and plan meals in am .If on the go its great,I also pack my water with ice pack. Good Luck PS I lost 23 pounds!

I was doing fine after I got out of hospital ,not much gas pain ,gas seems to be moving on its own.The pain I have is near the port incision No hunger yet ,still drinking protein shakes,lost 20 lbs since 2 weeks before surgury.Lookng forward to first fill.:tongue2:

yes I was banded 5/9 Dr. put me on shakes for 2 weeks and plenty of water.then soft mushy foods 2 weeks won't tighten band with 1st fill until 6th week .I do not feel any differance except pain inside.Sometimes still feel hungry.

I was asked too.I know of 1 person who was denied because of that.But,I also know another 1 who had to go to counseling first and then was ok'd

Hello,I had surgury Friday ,May 9th.I am home next day.It is not as bad as I thought.Pain to cough or bend ect.but otherwise bearable.Plus no gas pain for me.Been burping alot tho.Dr. told me to go back on liquid diet for two weeks,then I get a fill.I noticed some of you say you eat right after?

Hey Good Luck! Yes mine is May 9th .I started Liquid diet on April 25th. My scale says I lost 17 lbs.I'm sooo excited to start my new life.It's like being reborn.My last chance since I'm 53 yrs old.

I am 53 and having my surgury this friday on May 9th. I have lost 17 lbs so far on liquid diet.I am so excited .Can't wait for 8am Friday morning. Wish me luck .Thank You All.:tt1:

hi my surgury is May 9th ,I'm on a 2 week liquid diet with 1 lean meal at dinner , finding it hard but fighting it, I wish you lots of luck ! We deserve it!
