Me too....waiting on PCP to submit a Letter of Support to Bariatric Team ...so they can submit everything for insurance approval...& Bariatric Nurse sd once they have approval, then Surgery gets sched in 2wks!!! so anticipating mid Aug appt too....???? I have UHC!! I go to pain clinic too (for my back & knees)...I have 5 kids...started journey about Jan too...my last Dr visit was 7/8/16... Just waiting on a "Support Letter" from PCP to fax to my surgeons & they will write up why I need surgery & submit all paperwork next week.... I don't foresee any problems as far as my medical assistance paying for the surgery...& neither does my Bariatric surgeons....as long as you have co-morbidities you shld be fine!! I'm from WI....I made a special FB for Bariatric support if you want to keep in contact w/ me there or just want to hear from others on support....Lmk ???? Hi all....my last visit was on Friday 7/8/16...jst waiting on PCP to send in his "Support Letter" (which the nurse sd by this Friday 7/15) & then Midwest Bariatrics (of Neenah, WI) will submit everything for approval (I don't foresee a problem at all).... I asked how long after approval do they usually schedule surgery .... She said only two weeks!! ....yaaaay! I asked if there was a preop liquid diet.... She said no just continue to eat how you're eating your liver should be small enough.... So I anticipate an August date!! I can't wait ...so it seems more real!!! I do have a FB That I specifically made for bariatric support.... And I would love anyone who wants to add me to feel free!! Especially anyone who has surgery in August!! Obviously I would love to have people who have been through it (to answer any questions)... Also anyone who is anticipating it (who has any questions)....plz let me know if you want to add me!! Cheating 2x I don't think will have huge impact...but STICK TO PLAN now that you know! I jst talked to my surgeon & they told me there is no liquid diet before surgery...sd jst keep dieting so if you need liquid diet before surgery that will make things go smoother.... I just completed my 6mo supervised diet on Friday (last thing had to complete)...they said they were going to submit everything to insurance for approval this week... I saw a couple people write about a pre-op physical... Is this something I should schedule right away with my PCP? Is this something that's required for insurance approval or no? Once insurance approves the surgery (which I don't foresee a problem) .... How long do you think before I get a call to schedule surgery? And is there one or two pre-OP physicals that need to be done?? Also, what do the physicals consistent of? (Chest X-rays, labs, etc?) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I was thoroughly disappointed when I thought my 6mo was in & found out a snag & had to put 3 extra mo in....but had my last visit on Friday....everything gets submitted this week & it flew by,,,BUT...they can't give me a surgery date soon enough!!! Lol! That's what I can't wait for! Just a date! & I'll be happy to do countdown.... but glad to know you didn't give up!! Some peeps would have by now.... I was wondering when I read this ....I haven't had surgery yet, but from everything that I've read, you were only supposed to be on liquids 10 days out ...and then work your way to soft food (in few weeks?).... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Bariatric diet...helped me lose... *meat {size of hand or so} *1C of veggies *1C of fruit 3x a day no snacking in-between Crystal Light & Water for drinks & can eat sugar free (I ate tropical Popsicles)..... Lost 70lbs on this before ???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
