I will be praying for you as well! Stay positive and do everything they tell you to do! Best of luck on your new lifestyle! Mine is April 25th! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. I was lucky my Dr gave me diet pills which I lost 40 lbs but I'm now at a stand still because the pills lose their effectiveness after awhile. Good news is my stomach shrunk so I eat less and I have my surgery April 25th. Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Just remember this is not a magical fix. You have to stay committed to diet and exercise or you will gain your weight back. This surgery just speeds up the process. You still have to change your lifestyle! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    What did you do pre-op?

My Dr gave me a book of instructions. 2 weeks prior I can only have these Protein shakes they give me and Water. Also have to go off all NSAIDS because they can cause ulcers. Also have to take flint stones chewables with Iron and start taking colace for constipation. Get in as much exercise as possible to help your lungs so you don't get pneumonia which can happen after surgery I guess. Lots of different advise here so your best bet is to talk to your Dr. Best of luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Total weight loss confusion...

I am getting ready for surgery soon and I have never heard a set limit you can lose. The end result is yours and how committed you are to your new lifestyle. The psychologist should never be discouraging you like that. Follow what the nutritionist and the Dr tells you and you will do great! Stay positive and best of luck to you!!!
