    Chronic heart failure

Sorry your going through this but I feel its a blessing in disguise because they doing such intense pre ops for surgery they caught it. I used to work as a patient care coordinator and help patients through the process and when we would find things wrong they could address it and take care of it asap! My Dad had a massive heart attack and strokes cause he didnt take care of himself or go to the Dr.s for 20 years plus drinking and smoking and is now bed ridden with me and my sister taking care of him all because he didnt want to change his lifestyle.... Keep praying and asking God if this is for you either way I know with this you'll make better choices to get healthier I will be praying for you ???? You Got This!!! Also my weightloss is much slower than say people with just the sleeve is it just me?? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  6. It gets better day by day I think first week is hardest but it does get easier! Also we have to remember we had 2 surgeries in one day but I think it's better than doing surgery 2 times!! I'm 6 weeks tomorrow and I feel great besides reflux and nausea once in a great while I'm thankful to be a transformed sleever!! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm a newbie had surgery 2/23/16 was wondering how much weight you lost your 1st month switching from band to sleeve? Do you feel having the band first helped you or hurt you with the sleeve!!?? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  8. Wow that's great! That's the thing with the sleeve that I like no more fills adjusting the band too loose too tight!!???????? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  9. Wow don't feel bad I'm sorry your going thru all this!! Don't feel bad cause I heard there's a 70% failure rate and the other 30% is considered a success if you lost 1/2 your weight!! I was like you and went back n forth but I figured I had to go under for the sleeve might as well do a 2 in 1!! I did research and much better things and success stories with the SLEEVE!! JUST PRAY ABOUT IT ???? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  14. I'm not sure it just hurts to lay flat & they said the left shoulder pains on the same side as stomach and them doing alot of movement in there on that side causes the pain so I'm thinking the pressure laying flat is just too much!! Where my port was other was sore for awhile too but then again I would feel sore there quite a bit ???? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  15. I had mine done on 2/23! I had the band without liquid for 2 years, it is alittle more complicated cause there removing all the scar tissue the port the band and un sewing it to whatever it got attached too!! Mine was a mess inside. My main complain after surgery was shoulder pain on right side from them moving stomach etc around but by day 5 I was all better slept on couch or recliner for a week and a half proped up couldn't lay flat or on my side. Liquid pain meds helped and just sipped on my stuff and did very light stuff everyday I felt better and stronger!!! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  16. I'm sorry your going through that..... I was wondering if it's something you ate maybe that didn't agree? I'm still learning what works better than others in certain foods that's when I see that I have more than other times. Sometimes drinks even Water makes me feel icky I've put lemon or mint etc and sometimes that don't even help! Then again I'm only 5 weeks out so I'm hopeful it'll get better from here. 19. I'm not sure @@certifiedcoder why the Dr. said that but I could imagine cause we know how to eat, chew and pick things that go down not drink before or after compare to someone that ate and drank whatever then switched to sleeve?? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  20. Ugh I feel your pain im so glad your done with the band!! So how's it going for you with sleeve? How much have you lost if you don't mind me asking? I just had my 1 month post op and down 16 lbs they said that was good for people with band to sleeve. People that go straight to sleeve normally lose alot more weight quicker but he said I'm doing good! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App Oh I think I just read you down 10 that's great! ! Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

  22. Tired of my weight with Hypothyroidism Hashimotos i needed extra help!! So like other people I had the band 2009 2 years ago I took out all my fluids and just recently converted to Sleeve. Thank God I did Dr. said I was a mess inside!! Band wasn't for me too tight or too loose!! Feeling pretty good so far but my Dr. wants 1 month of liquids, 2nd month pureed but I can't wait 3 weeks is long enough! I know it's wrong but I feel like I know how to eat slow, eat alittle and really chew my food!! Anybody else know what I'm talking about?
  23. No he recommends it for all his patients well for 1 to lose alot of weight I think and also safety but no one else recommends that I've talked to or read on... How does it feel when you eat too much? Do you just measure, and that's it? Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
