  6. Hello gina171, I'm a 9 yr Breast cancer survivor and I was required by my surgeon to talk to my oncologist about malabsorption. My oncologist said he didn't see any problem with WLS. He has several cancer patients that are doing well with WLS. God forbid if I have to go through anything cancer related ever again. But it will always be in the back of my mind. I'm due to have my bypass in July. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  7. I had a bunch of lab work, EKG, and chest X-ray. This was a few weeks ago. Now that I have my surgery date of 12 July, I need another EKG sometime before surgery. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. I'm choosing bypass because I'm diabetic. Endocrinologist recommended it. Didn't think my insurance would approve the bypass but they did. My surgery date is July 12. I've been attending support groups for 3 months. I'm not sure how I feel. The time is near. I guess excitement and apprehension at the same time. I'm probably most concerned about losing too much weight and looking "sickly". But this is all for my health. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
