  5. I can only speak for myself, but what the surgery did for me was to push a reset button on my relationship with food. I was successful losing weight the months before the surgery. Just as I had before so many times in my life. Having the surgery allowed me to rebuild my food profiles slowly while I was less hungry. Many of my cravings that I had for years went away. I enjoyed learning new meal planning and healthy planning. It is 7 months since surgery and I am 15 pounds from goal and I feel so healthy and finally in control. Good luck with your decision.   11. I started the 10K app. Wowza. I am proud that I did week 9 (so week 1 of 10K). However my hip has been hurting. In the last 6 minutes of the run my hip hurt so I walked. Ran a little again and never should have pushed it. I am going to a dr tomorrow as I was in severe pain but it is now a bit better 28 hours later. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for an antinflamatory that isn't an nsaid. I still feel great for doing a full hour! A full hour!! Wow!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. Stats for the Week of September 12 Hi everyone – We have 1 week left and we have seen some real progress this week towards meeting goals! Please log your final values by Friday this week if possible. As a reminder, this will be my last challenge to run for a while. I am looking for someone to take over. If you would like to take over and run the next one (probably for Halloween) please let me know and I will send you the spreadsheet all set up and explain how to update it – It is fairly straight forward.   25. Today is the day!!!! I may end up walking but I am going to try to run. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and shoulder and am on meds but I am going to try.
