You are not alone! The first time I "saw myself" was my reflection in a store window. I was in shock! Then there is always the dreaded family affairs and trying to buy clothes... It's an eye opener for sure... I left many clothing stores in tears many times. Tomorrow is my sleeve day and I can't wait to start my life! Good luck to everyone with your journey! @@thundermama that's great, 11 pounds is awesome! I'm down 8.5. I also just noticed how the girl at office told me to start a day too early on Optifast... so I think Monday I'm going to have to go to CHRIAS and buy 6 shakes cause I'm short a day... ???? I have been having a headache for 3 days now, think it's a combination of lack of caffeine and pollen. I just can not believe that it is almost time! Bloodwork done. Excited, nervous and just in disbelief! When I think about being wheeled back to OR on Tuesday morning I feel panicked. Just trying to be chill. I went out yesterday and got the Protein shakes (@costco) no added sugar applesauce (for meds, SF Popsicles, SF Jello and some cream of chicken Soup. I have literally told 4 people. I know everyone at work will be all this and asking me what's going on... but I look at it like this.. would I go around telling people I'm having a nose job or face lift?? @@thundermama I survived my first day at work on the Optifast. I'm a nurse and work 12s so it was a struggle with all the cupcakes, Cookies and coffee around me...but I did it and back in today for another 12 hour shift. For me, this diet got so much easier after day 3. Ahhhh Chinese!! That is a tough one! You did it. Your doing great though, I'm only down 5#. I'm am getting real nervous too, I can't believe we are almost 1 week out! I try not to think too much about it cause I feel like I'm gonna freak out... Hang in there!!!! ???? We are using Optifast because that is what's required by our surgeons. If you can choose your own Protein Shakes I suggest Premier Protein. I like all flavors, choc, vanilla and strawberry. You can get them at Sams club, costco and I think walgreens or cvs. These are the shakes I will use post-op. Good luck to you. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App

I'm stuck inside today (day 4) doing homework and laundry (ugh!) and am just trying to stay focused. I'm down 4.5, and I will take it...considering I screwed up on day 2. Hope you feel better! Yes, I am also on day 3! I'm hanging in by a thread! Surpringly I lost 3.5 # and I did cheat yesterday. But am focused today, spent the day out shopping and didn't think about food at all!
