  1. Wow! That's awesome hazeleyes45! I'm only down 25lbs and getting a little discouraged. I feel amazing, but wish I was losing faster. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. How are you doing? I also has gastric sleeve on Feb 23rd! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. I haven't lost any weight since April 1! My surgery was Feb 23 and I'm only down about 26 lbs since surgery. Admittedly, I'm frustrated and have been eating more junk because of it and feeling crappy. I think I need to spend more time here, getting inspiration. Thanks for sharing! 4. I know some of you may be in a different phase but my NUT has authorized me to eat anything...so yesterday I had several nuts. They were awesome! Roasted pecans at lunch and then almonds for "dinner" (since I skipped a real meal.) I had no problems and am super excited to be back to eating regularly. I'm having a hard time getting my workouts in though! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. I feel freakin' awesome! I have had no troubles and am back to my regular lifestyle with 40# less (25 since surgery) and more energy. My NUT authorized soft food at 4 weeks and regular diet at 6 weeks. I'm eating whatever I want with no problems, have no pain anywhere and no reflux. I'm hungry a lot, but otherwise I'm great. How are you feeling? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. How's everyone doing? I'm slowly losing. Down 40lb since my heaviest. 25lbs since surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Have you ever tried adding essential oils to your Water for flavor, minus the calories? You could do lemon or orange, for example. https://youngliving.org/rs_ord_item_detail_popup.asp?ITEM_CODE=3578&IS_GUEST_SHOPPING_MODE=1&CUSTTYPEID=3&CC=US Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Overthinking, I don't know. But oversharing perhaps! I'm gonna keep my plan to myself, I think, going forward. Mine seems to be more progressive than many others. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Did you have the surgery? How are you doing? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. I'm Feb 23rd...close! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I just have to say, I've been following and participating on this board for a little over a month and I am FLOORED by the vast different in advice each our NUT & surgeons have given us. We all had the same type of surgery - how can the professional advice be so incredibly different? Seems we've also had varying responses and recovery times to the surgery and I understand that, but Woah! What differences in professional opinions! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Following too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. My story: I was hungry and still am hungry almost 7 weeks post op. I see a lot of judgment on here and advice, so someone will probably tell you it's just reflux. I'm on a PPI and never had reflux prior and don't think I have it now. Talked with my NUT and she said it's probably just that my digestive system works quickly so I empty my sleeve quicker and eating some fat will help it "stick". Once I was back on regular food, it got better, but I'm still hungry - and NOT head hunger either! I now have (for example) an egg for Breakfast, with a piece of toast and some Peanut Butter on it and that seems to stick longer than yogurt or just an egg did. Some people have no hunger ever again. I am not that lucky! Hope it gets better for you - just know you're not alone. Best of luck to you!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Okay, I have to ask... at 5 weeks out why would you even TRY to eat anything except Beans or the innards of a meat burrito from taco bell? If you're hungry, it could be acid. Ask your doctor about a PPI (proton pump inhibitor, like zantac, omeprazole, etc.). I was back on a completely unrestricted diet at 4 weeks. At 6 weeks I was given guidelines on Protein, carb & fat combos but that's it. I'm free to eat whatever I'd like, according to my NUT & surgeon. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. My NUT said something similar. No real guidelines yet. But I've heard she will give me some at my 6 week appointment. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. I'm 5 weeks out and already can eat pretty much anything and about 1/2 to 3/4 cup at a time. It's a little scary! I ate a whole soft shell taco from Taco Bell yesterday. Didn't feel great after, but I wasn't miserable either. I'm hungry a lot too. Was hoping the hunger and any cravings would be gone with my sleeve - but I guess not. It's a leaning experience for sure. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. My NUT said weeks 3-8 are the slowest for weight loss. Wish they'd have told me ahead of time about the stall. For 11 days my scale didn't move. I finally stopped getting on it. Went on vacation for a little over a week and when I got home the numbers finally had dropped. Not by much, but I was happy with anything at that point. Patience! 18. I'm looking for ideas too. I'm 5 wks post op and eggs and cheese don't sit well with me too soon for nuts I'm afraid, which leaves nut butters, lunch meat (don't care for the sodium content) and yogurt. Any thing I'm missing? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Looking for others who were sleeves Feb 2016 or to know if there is a facebook page that exists. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I have the same. I have chocolate and vanilla bean. Been trying to locate birthday cake but no one has it. "In the end we only regret the chances that we didn't take." Try Amazon. I bought a lot of Protein drinks from there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. I too purchased way too many Protein drinks, packs of pudding, Soup broth and Jello. Tossed a lot of it. What I didn't realize was I could only consume 1 oz at a time the day after surgery. We buy for our tumors before surgery, but we can't eat that much after. I'm about 5 wks post op and STILL forget and dish up an old serving size. Then I giggle like I'd actually be able to eat even half of that amount! The three week stall was awful! Throw your scale away. Just wait for your post op visits to weigh. It's a mind game and it sucked for me. Getting up and moving as quickly as I could was hands down the best decision I made. No surgery gas pains (I'd had them from a previous laparoscopic surgery and they were awful! Dr said walking right away probably helped.) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Are you drinking Atkin's shakes? They make me have very loose stools! Any time I'm starting to feel I need to move things along, I have one. Lol. If that's the culprit, you may want to switch Protein shakes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. This was my first major surgery. I was super nervous but I was determined. I was up walking that day and think it helped a ton! I didn't get a pain pump, but asked for some meds. Surprised at how "easy" it was. My only regret is that I didn't do it two years ago. I'm about 5 weeks out, feeling great and looking forward to more weigh loss. Sounds like you're tough! I think you'll do great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I'm only down 35# and that feels amazing. I can't even imagine 100! I had a 9 day stall at about 3 weeks and my head kept saying "See? This won't work either!!" But I've started to lose again, feeling good and I'm looking forward to the day when it's 100#! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. My surgery and recovery went incredibly well. I think in part because I got up that evening, in the hospital, and started walking right away. I had surgery on a Tuesday and took the rest of the week and the following off. I could have returned sooner, because I felt fine, but I tired quickly and the constant need to "eat" every two hours would have been a challenge with the distractions at work. Best of luck to you!!
