Not sure who I should tell!
I'm a medic. I had to tell my boss and my shift. I'm scared of dumping and lifting when I get back, I need them to know what's going on incase I ever become a patient. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

does anyone know of a stateside rny surgery costing less than 32000.00
Dr. Patel in San Antonio, Tx is 18000. I'm doing cash price because insurance wouldn't cover. However, they found a hiatal hernia and some other things on my EGD study so insurance should cover half or more. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Work in healthcare - what to tell them?
I work EMS. I told my partners and my boss. If something happened to me while I'm at work after surgery, I want them to have a clue about what it could be related to. They also know that I will need their help lifting and moving after surgery. Also, because we work in healthcare, they're going to figure it out eventually. We've been fat. Suddenly we get thin? Do we have TB? Maybe a tapeworm??? Lol! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pre-op vitamins
Did anyone start taking Vitamins pre-op? If so, which ones? I'm worried about losing mass quantities of hair since I'm already a shedder and I've got thin Caucasian hair. (shakes first) I've read that Biotin and Iron really helped out a lot of people. Suggestions? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Any Medics out there?
Fingers crossed, I'll be sleeved in April! I currently work at a 911 service as a medic and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't terrified about lifting when I return to work. Doc says I should be good to go in 4-6 weeks, but I'm just fearful about something happening when I'm doing something really strenuous. Anyone? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
