puddin i love your name as thats what i used to call my x husband.when i was in love with him i used to liken him to a pudding my mum made for me when i was little. anyway my response is that i am 22 stones 7 pounds in weight with a baby face and a humourous side thats quirky.there will always be people that like or dislike me.there perogative or problem i guess. i grew my hair as it was short and subconciously masculin and my clothes were sporty.now im wearing lomg skirts and velvets and back to my hippy 70s look i wore when no one else did.i get compliments, inuendo's,blatent sexual remarks and i find this hard to accept as my previous concept was that thin meant buiteful.oh what a tangled web i weaved in order to myself deceive.i want to lose this weight to prolong my life and give me quality of life. i watch celebs that i think have that certain chemistry and male or female they are all exuding a quiet calm steady aloofness that is very appealing without being standoffish.be yourself and let mother nature do her thing.i think anthony hopkins,(cor)/sharon stone/gary oldman/sting especialy all keep there council.however billy connoly is all over the place and very open and out there with his opinions and is still atractive. when you love yourself you make an entrance naturaly without falseness. confidence comes from within and starts with your inner being.i had to become comfortable with me and not feel on show to prove im educated, talented, funny, deep. oh love me please arent i interesting, please like me,please was how i used to be.now im more open minded and its about the journey not the destination.sorry my phulisophical edge is showing.arf,arf.good on you for being so open in your sharing and its helped me immensly.kind regards shrinkpachyderm.

    Lap-Band or Gastric By-pass???

 im glad i had the band put in and didnt have the bypass.i agree there are possitives and negatives for the bypass.i have trouble following a good nutritionaly balanced variation of food groups and tend to stick with tectures and foods i like.yeah im eating fruit, veg, carb, protien just the same over again.the bypass needs strict nutritional input as the body doesnt absorb all the nutrients that comes from the food eaten.this can lead to a greyness in the skin, malnutrition, bad teath, hair loss,a huge weight loss very quickly that comes with a shock to the emotional mind processes .these were all reported by 2 friends that had the bypass.i love my band and my complection was really pale until i stopped seeing my nutritionist as a controling enemy and started to see my body as needing certain types of food for survival.i hadnt had a period for 4 months but now im eating better all is nearly back in order.i thought in my case that a bypass would take away the choice for me but now i can see for me it would have come at a high price and wouldnt have been the right choice for me.i need time to work on my head so i can make better choices for my body.sorry to drone on but im just newly back to this site and am so excited to be back on board.:Banane30: :clap2:

:Bunny i cant thank u enough for broaching this subject of depression post op.im waiting for my first band fill.im feeling unable to deal with outside effects in life without the food and that brings the emotions into the fore front as im used to sedating myself with food.i didnt know that there was medication to treat this as ive been on sertraline for 3 years and still feel unable to enjoy life.its a releaf to know im not alone.just found myself a mega therapist thats a help but still dont want to take care of myself.thought id be more willing to be presentable on a regular basis.normaly house proud but have taken to not answering the door ect.anyway thank u so much.im thinking of the others going through the same.bye for now.big hugs from shrinkpachyderm.
