  15. I would recommend to call your doctor. also the alcohol could have irritated the stoma. I didnt have a drink until 3 or 4 months out. kathy
  16. hello...saw your post about WW. It is really up to you and what works for you. I am doing WW and allowing myself 20 points my NUT wants me to have 1000 and no more than 1200 calories a day so I base my points on that. Going to meetings has kept me more on track. I look forward going to the meetings. Good luck, Kathy

    UHC Denying Lap-band Adjustments!!!

I have UHC as well and my drs office went out of network in July. I have what is call Gap Exception and now my fills are covered. First call your drs office and get the codes they bill to the insurance company. then call UHC and ask for a Care Coordinator and ask about Gap Exception. You will need the code for morbid obesity and the coded for the fills. Good luck, Kathy

    how do you know????

How long do you stay satisfied? for me its 4 to 5 hours. Also how many calories are you getting in for the day? I stay satisfy for a good 4 hours plus on about 1 cup of food with about 1000 to 1200 calories a day. Hope that answers your questions.

I was approved but im losing my ins. in a month???

Hi, My doctors office recently went out of network with my insurance. I was able to get Gap Exception where the doctors office provided me codes for treatment including fills. You may call your insurance and doctors office to see if they have anything like that. Good luck, Kathy

    salads

Hello Band Twin, I was also banded on Jan 28th. I have been able to eat salads. My last fill has given me great restriction that I havent tried salads yet. I will try it when I am at home to make sure it goes down well. Kathy

    Do I need a fill?

You may need a slight fill. Just make sure to drink a cup of water at the doctors office to make sure your not too tight. My last fill a couple of weeks ago was a .30....it was just enough. I just have to remember to take tiny bites and chew chew and chew. Kathy

    frustrated, is something wrong?

Banded, Don't worry....You are in the healing phase. Some people even gain weight at this time. Once you start getting your fills and watching your calories...the pounds will start coming off. Good luck, Kathy
