I can't speak to the specific insurance, but our policy also has a written exclusion to WLS. My understanding is that there is no way around it. The doctor's office said there isn't any way to challenge/appeal with an exclusion. Consequently, I am a self pay!

Looks like I found my thread! I'm not banded yet....have just started the process. I'm a freaking self-pay so hopefully the one up side of that is that it can move a little faster! Been an HD rider for about seven years.....on my second harley! Also work for the local dealership......and I'm soooooooooooo looking forward to the days that I will be able to pick anything up off the rack and it will FIT! Also looking forward to visiting with fellow bikers.....

Good Morning, Just took the first step in this journey yesterday....attended a seminar! I am looking forward to a new life....one that I control....what a concept! I am a self pay, so anticipate that the process will move fairly quickly.....not excited about spending that much money....but I keep telling myself that it's an INVESTMENT.....in ME! Looking forward to 'meeting' many of you and sharing successes along the way!
