  1. I like chocolate Unjury blended with soy milk......
  2. ((((((Willsmommy))))))))) Take it as a cautionary tale....one that will encourage you to follow your doctor's/dietician's directions to the letter......keep in touch with your team, let them know how you're doing...call them at the first second you don't feel right. My doc encouraged me to call and even said if there aren't specific symptoms, but I just have that feeling that "something isn't right." I'm a month out and it's been smooth sailing for me......and I'd be willing to bet that it will be the same for you. Again, follow your medical orders and take advice FROM YOUR MEDICAL TEAM, not from the internet.....no matter how well meaning folks might be. Trust your physician, do your part by following dietary recommendations to the letter, and have faith that the odds are most DEFINITELY on our side. Like Susan said, folks with problems are more likely to end up here, not folks who are having a bump free ride.......they're just digging the new life! You've done your research, trust yourself.
  3. I was banded March 18th....I've lost 23 pounds.....officially 10%!
  4. DAMN....I thought it was going to be the power to triumph over evil. (but that's pretty cool, too!)
  5. I'm staying on plan today because summer is right around the corner......I want to do all of the things I passed over because I was too heavy! Hiking, biking, swimming........
  6. We've had soooooooooooooo much snow this year......I'm just over it. 130% of normal this year......oh well, it should make for a beautiful, green spring if it doesn't come down too fast and we get flooded..... but enough already, IT'S APRIL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!
  7. First day of REAL food!! I played it pretty conservative with my regular Breakfast of malt o'meal, just not thinned way down......Lentil Soup for lunch.....not pureed.... Then a spoonful of mashed potatoes and three meatballs with gravy for dinner......just finished a south beach Protein bar and still managed to keep the day under 800 calories. Didn't get any walking in because it SNOWED all day today....can you believe it?? Yesterday was 75 degrees.....welcome to springtime in the Rockies, I guess!
  8. What a nice thing to do...........just saying.
  9. I just finished my taxes.....anyone have a vicodin left over??
  10. Just remember that "LBT's" (licks, bites and tastes) can add up rather quickly! Track them for a day or so and you may surprise yourself how many calories you're really eating! A lot of us are in Bandster Hell right now.....just have to muscle our way through it!
  11. Trained Observer....:wink_smile::biggrin:
  12. I'm going to get to goal....and so will you! I have told myself that (literally) every day...... I deserve this I am worthy of this I will accomplish this Statistics ........ we don't need no stinking statistics!
  13. It's "Boo Boo Kitty", she's a bandster here that has been EXTREMELY successful.....I was delighted to see her at the top!!!
  14. Don't think about what other people say.....your goal weight is between you and your doctor.....
  15. I had a tall skinny decaf latte today at starbucks....after not having a SB fix for almost two months, I have to say, it was DIVINE!
  16. I've dealt with it most of my life......from about the age of 9 or 10..... in high school I was "chubby"....... I went on weight watchers for the first time when I was 12 or 13......
  17. Jeans with a belt, of course, wife beater tank top, black motorcycle boots......
  18. This is sort of a reward AND an NSV..... I JUST BOUGHT VICTORIA SECRET PANTIES...........and they fit! I've always loved to look at the pretty colors and cute styles, but have always had to retreat to Lane Giant for panties......now I have cute "PINK" panties......AWESOME!
  19. I've been using fitday.com to keep track of my food....it works well for me. I have been loyal to that, just not the whole "feelings" kind of journal.
  20. YEAH to crossed legs......that's one of the things I really look forward to as well.....still not completely comfortable for me, but I can do it! I always feel like some sort of a lumberjack when I wear a dress because I can't cross my legs like a dainty lady!
  21. HEY! My BMI has changed from "Morbidly Obese" to "Severely Obese"...... woo hoo.....I guess.....
  22. Sounds like a pretty yummy dinner, Fenton! I had refried Beans with lime and cilantro......good.....but no steak, that's for sure! It's a BEAUTIFUL spring day today......thinking we're going to take a long walk down by the river and see if there are any baby ducks! I suspect that by this time next week, if the temps stay the way they are, the river will be pretty high and the duckies will be hiding in the shallows. Things are going well for me....I'm just feeling so good. It's wonderful. I still get the twinges of shoulder pain, strangely enough, they seem to be related to hunger much of the time. If I eat a little something, it subsides. Perhaps because I wasn't listening to my stomach, my body is sending signals somewhere else!!!!! Ten minutes of heat takes care of it as well. The EVIL scale dropped a pound this week, so we've reconciled for now. I would have preferred more......but down is down and I'll take it! Hope you all have a GLORIOUS spring Sunday!
  23. I haven't journaled, but I have been thinking about it. I do a blog about every two weeks.....but it's pretty superficial. Sometimes I think it would do me good to go a little more in depth. I had to work today.....UGH....being the first nice day we've had in weeks the shop was PACKED. We were so busy and I'm bushed tonight. I feel like I got a good workout though, I can't even think how many times I went up and down the stairs to the stock room......didn't even have time to eat today, so by the time I got home I was pretty hungry. I'm way behind on Protein and calories today....maybe have to mix up some protein pudding here in a bit!
  24. Amen.....please think long and hard about whether you are ready to make the commitment to the band. You are setting yourself up for problems down the road if you aren't able to follow your physicians directions.
  25. Christine, hope you get some relief soon, that sounds just miserable. I have been very, very fortunate in my recovery......I'm sure the dermatologist will be able to look at it and fix you right up! I'm trying to stay away from the scale, too.......I keep telling myself once a week, but it just doesn't work that way. I should just put it away and only bring it out once a week...... I went out and bought some little custard dishes to eat my little bit of food out of, my 1/4-1/2c serving looked lost in the regular bowls......it helps a little....also bought some baby spoons to force myself to take smaller bites.....they're in rainbow colors, so will make a lovely table setting! Looking forward to getting off mushies next week.....but a little apprehensive as well.....
