  1. Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on this thread. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my third child. I was banded a year ago. My first child was born at 29 weeks and my second 32 weeks. They have no idea why I was early my water just broke. This time I feel like I spend every other day at the doctor. My ob still sees me every 4 weeks, but I see a "high risk" doctor for shots every Friday(to try and ward off preterm labor). I also see her for ultrasounds. Anyway I have read your posts and happy that all seems well. Good Luck to everyone.
  2. Good Luck CB!! Thank you everyone, It reallly has put my mind more at ease. I am so excited.
  3. Thank you for the replies. I probably will get a unfill. I know that I will have some work ahead of me after the baby is born to lose any extra pounds. Congrats to you both!!!
  4. Hi everyone. I am just a little worried. I am 7 months from my lap band surgery and have found out I am pregnant. Wonderful news. I believe my doc requires a complete un fill. I was just wondering what everyones experience is with being pregnant with the band. Is it ok that I am only 7 months out. I just want to have a healthy pregnancy. Thankyou for any comments or suggestions.
  5. My husband had his first fill appointment this morning. You guys probably passed in the hall.
  6. Hi Judy, Congrats!!!! I was sore the first week too. I did have bruising. The bruise thats the biggest is probably your port. Mine is between my breasts, well under alittle. Dr. Hoffman says the bruising is because of the blood thinners they give us.
  7. Judy it is written by a doctor and a patient. It is a very good reference guide. I read it before surgery and it didn't freak me out.(which would have been easy pre surgery). I also use it now for a reference.
  8. I recommended it. I still use the book as a reference. Sometimes I check it to put my mind at ease.
  9. KayleighsMommy hi. I experienced that same wave like pain. It went away 6 days post op. I just assumed it was gas as well. Hang in there!
  10. I agree with Judy. The patient advocate is there to help you. They will get to the root of the problem. Do not give up!!!!! Good luck. Let us know if you get any answers.
  11. Hey everyone, I was banded on the 23rd also. Same symptoms.
  12. We are doing good. I feel much better with everyday. I am hungry now. liquids are getting old.LOL. I am actually a stay at home mom so work was not an issue. My hubby went in Monday for surgery and was back at work Thursday(office job). I think I will try to stick to the SB but probably phase 2 and 3. I need some carbs in my life. LOL You can feel the port on your stomach, when you touch it so thats alittle weird. I can now sleep on my stomach again.
  13. How is everyone doing? Now a bandster!
  14. Bugs, on my fitness assesment they had me walk for 12 minutes at a pace in which they said I could finish. In other words my husband and I went together and he walked a heck of a lot faster then me. They did have us do squats and pushups how many you could do. I asked the fitness dr. why they had us do this and she said it is just to get a starting point. She said she has many people who can't do much. Don't worry. If you are call and ask about it. I think you will be fine!
  15. When my husband had his final weigh in they told him that if he had gained any weight since the last weigh in they would cancel the surgery.
