  1. As of now- 3 weeks post op I can say my taste buds have not changed. Maybe they changed with my band surgery and stayed with me for sleeve surgery. I'm eating everything I did during the soft foods/mushy phase with the band and still like everything so far
  2. When I was successful dieting years ago - I limited myself to carbs 1 day a week. It gave me the chance to get what I was craving and I was still losing weight. I want to do that with the sleeve - someday. I'm just not ready to start it yet and haven't been craving them yet
  3. With the symptoms you described, I really think you need to increase your food intake. Just try it for a week and see how you feel. There is a chance you will feel more energized and maybe the scale will start moving again. And if your successful, then you will know that your body needs the extra calories. Like I said, just give it 1 week
  4. It is hard when you see so many people post how quickly they are losing. I had revision surgery 2/4 - no pre-op diet and have only lost 11 pounds. I'm starting to get scared to face the scale and keep thinking I should stay off Bariartic Pal so as not to get frustrated reading about everyone's success but at the same time I need it to see I'm not alone
  5. I got reflux after the sleeve but its not bad enough that I need a prescription yet. I take an over the counter pill at night and I'm good . I'm 3 weeks out- have not vomited and I truly believe that having the band first already prepared my to eat slow and I recognize the signs to stop eating. My weight loss is slow- I haven't been exercising yet because I've been so busy getting caught up at work. My energy level is through the roof. I'm not sleeping much because I'm not tired and am still wide awake during the day. I have Plantar Facitis and am praying that the doctor can help me with that because come springtime, I love walking the track. I don't want to give that up!!
  6. I haven't started on solid Protein but I feel like I'm starting to eat more but I still don't think its enough. I was sleeved on 2/4 and only lost 11 pounds . my sample day : 7:00am - Protein shake 10:00 - 2 oz cheese 12:00 - 2 oz chicken salad ( I wanted more but I took what was left in the bowl - this was in our cafeteria at work) and 1/4 cup chicken broth 2:00 - 2 oz cheese 4:00 - tsp of Peanut Butter 6:00 - 3 ground chicken meatballs and a sugar free Snack Pack pudding I only got in 40 oz of Water between meals
  7. Please let us know how your appointment goes. I'm curious to see what your surgeon says
  8. I would like to join - sleeved 2/4. How do we join?
  9. It seems to me also that if I drink a lot of water, by mealtime I can eat more. That reminds me of the band too- if I didn't drink enough the band tightened up and I would have trouble eating.
  10. Hopefully, you will be cooking so many healthy meals for your family that he may lose weight without trying. Maybe he'll go for walks with you. He might be afraid of losing you when you become your newer, slimmer, sexier you - but if he takes this journey with you ( without him realizing it) he will feel great about himself also
  11. Sometimes a Fiber One bar will kick start your system
  12. Isn't that interesting how we all like such different things ? I'm surprised that I still like Premier after 6 years although I like them more when I stop drinking them for a few months
  13. When I had the lapband, I had trouble eating early in the morning because my band was still tight. I've only had the sleeve a few weeks but have noticed the same pattern. Mornings are tough to get my protein drink down, just not hungry but by dinnertime, my appetite is definitely increased
  14. My nutritionist told me to only use Trivia - not Splenda or Equal or Sweet n Low Truvia
  15. Eggs are on my list for 7 days post op as well as tuna & chicken salad. Also mashed potatoes so I would say " go for it"
  16. The Lettuce Wraps are delicious
  17. I think you will lose if you don't go over 1200 Max. I think it the carbs that matter more- no more than 30 a day max. Weight Watchers is a 1200 calorie diet and Atkins is 30 carbs per day diet
  18. I'm now starting to get hungrier - 18 days post-op
  19. I also love Premier Protein shakes. Costco sells them by the case and I've heard that Stop & Shop Supermarkets now sell the 4 packs
  20. I was sleeved on 2/4 but when I'm cold it's been like 0 degrees outside. Sometimes I have to climb into my bed to warm up but I also sleep in a summer gown all year and do get toast warm in my bed.
  21. Where will you be having your surgery? Mine was at Baystate. I pre- made a ton of meals and froze them in small containers.
  22. Do you mind me asking how old you are?
