  7. hahaha, so true, so true Debbie! My kitty won't bend over a bowl to drink!!! So he sticks his paw in the water and licks it off! Isn't that funny? I think it's because he is too fat...he only eats DOG FOOD! (the bowl is higher, no bending involved). He needs a LapBand too! lol His big brothers don't do that!
  8. GOOD LUCK JULI!!!!! Can't wait to see the pics!!
  9. Bobby- My work has a Biggest Loser challenge too. It works like this: Anyone can participate. It runs for 12 weeks. Everyone who wants to join pays $5 per week (they give their $60 up front, and it's non-refundable). Everyone weighs in with the "leader". All the weights are private. Only pounds lost get posted. They can weigh in as often as they like and use any diet they want. At the end of the challenge, the winner gets all but $100 (that goes to the second place winner). The pot of money is usually pretty big, so it's a great incentive. We don't have any organized events though, I like that you do! Hope that helps.
  10. TX- Yes, our kids' music!!!! Lord have mercy on us! lol BG- So THAT'S why there is so much activity in the mornings around here! No fair----I'm actually working! lol ~C
  11. oh babies! I love kitties! Did you see my avatar? That is my kitty cleaning his paw...the one he drinks out of! lol His name is Poopy. He is the baby of the family. He has two big brothers!
  12. Hi Stef! I don't think we've met yet, but J named me C (Carol)---so nice to meet you! I can't believe the thread is so quiet! Have a great weekend!
  13. I didn't know it was from Pokemon either...I just thought it was cute too. Did everyone see that I changed mine? He's my DC (darling cat)...His name is Poopy! lol
  14. Yep...that's pretty much it! lol They use these little pieces of sandpaper and some smelly stuff all over your head, face, chest and legs to make the wires stick to you better. They attach all the wires to a little box on the wall and "plug" you in when it's time to go to sleep. I had to bring my own sleep aid...they want you to do whatever you normally would at home. They want you to sleep as much as possible...the more data, the better they can determine what's going on and make recommendations. Oh, btw...the sticky stuff comes out when you shower, but you may have to work on it a bit if you have a lot of hair! Good luck!
  15. Hi, I would be very careful about traveling so soon after surgery. You have many things to consider...yes, you will be at an increased risk for a DVT (blood clot). Usually in the hospital or even pre-operatively doctors give medication to thin the blood, compression stockings or devices on your legs that 'pulse' while your not moving around as much as you normally would---all to prevent clots. Once you are up and around and ready to go home, they often discontinue those things with instruction for you to keep increasing your activity. Also, your doctor may not want you to be so far away from him in case you have any problems/complications. Car trips can be exhausting even when you feel fine, so it could be worse post operatively. I'd definitely clear your travel plans with your surgeon. If he agrees for you to to, you may want to get a copy of your complete medical record (including your surgery) to take with you. Good luck with your surgery and take care...hope this helps!
  16. Omg--you guys crack me up! Stefanie-- I have teenagers too, so I listen to all their stuff! My DH HATES it! We crank up the volume and sing our hearts out! haha He says I'm corny! I even know the dance moves too! BG and J- Whatever you two come up with for the Muddy Buddy is going to be hilarious I'm sure! B- Hope you get the job...it sounds like you're ready for a change.
  17. Oh I'm so happy for you! YAY!!! You're gonna do great! ~Carol

I saw that! At first I wasn't sure who he was talking like that to. I had to rewind it (DVR) and watch it again. Did you see the look on Alison's face?????
  19. Hi all! Boy, you all are so active here in the mornings! I am so sick of the cold too! I've got spring fever...need sunshine! My husband is in Cbus for the week, I'm here monitoring driving school classes for my daughter--which have been cancelled due to the icy roads! lol I'm not doing very good on my exercise goal this week. I don't have the motivation...ugh, I need to get moving. Why is this so hard????? I did get another set of appointments leading up to surgery though...yay! I have to meet with the exercise physiologist next week--haha Maybe she can motivate me! J- Good job on the running!
