  1. Rub it in why don't cha?! LOL
  2. aol.com has the video (just click the music button and type in the rest)
  3. W: I just watched the video (Big Beautiful Girls)! I thought it was great!
  4. ZZ: Wow! Girl you've got to decide whether your roommate is worth all of this trouble to you! Does he make you a better person because he is in your life? J: TOSRV YAY! We also talked shop on Saturday...You know, you could always buy the shirt a little snug. They do stretch so you could keep wearing it later. It'd be such a shame not to have one for your accomplishment! Who are you riding with? Are you doing the total miles? I think it ends up being 105 miles each day. Yikes!
  5. Yeah! What Juli said! I love that you are so dedicated to our environment. God Bless you! He would be proud of you for taking as good of care of yourself as you do the earth! Carol (one of your people!)
  6. Hi everybody! I'm Carol from Ohio! (This feels like a beauty pageant intro! lol) I am not banded yet either...date is set for April10th--YAY for me!! I love to ride bicycles, scrapbook, photography and lots of other stuff. My health is the reason I am here. I just can't do it alone. I've tried and tried and cried and cried. I'm done crying, but I'm not done trying! I have 3 teenagers, 1 DH, 3 cats and 1 dog. I work full time as an RN. Busy, busy, busy! Nice to meet all of you!
  7. Juli, Had you never gone through this journey, you may not have seen and felt the beauty of living life to it's fullest. Sometimes we cannot appreciate the gift we've been given until something prevents us from receiving it. I am so happy for you. You've worked hard for all that you've accomplished. You've are truely an inspiration to so many of us and I am grateful for you and your words of wisdom. Thank you! ~Carol
  8. Well....I took it in for a small adjustment and ended up getting a different odometer (has lots of buttons and a light too! hee hee), some new gloves, and AEROBARS! YAY!!! I've been talking about doing it and I decided to just give it a shot! I just got this bike last year (used to have a Giant TCR2, now I have a Fuji Professional 2.0) so I've been working on getting it the way I want it. I got some other little doo-dads too, but nothing quite as exciting as the aerobars. I also got a tune up and a shine job. She looks so pretty! I would love to buy some cycling shirts, but I'm gonna wait for my Band results first. But at least my bike is all tricked out now! C
  9. Welcome! Where in Ohio are you from? There are several 'local' support groups on this site with threads from your area. I haven't been banded yet...I will be on 4/10!!! I found this site in January and LOVE it...some of the nicest ppl are here and so supportive. Carol
  10. HI! Yes! I will be banded on 4/10 and I can hardly wait! Good to have a band buddy! Carol
  11. Wow...everyone must be pretty busy this weekend! Hope you all are having fun! I got some cool new stuff for my bike this weekend! WOOHOO! I am so excited! I just can hardly wait for the good weather! Hope to talk to you guys/girls soon! C
  12. I wanna be a Marchie!! WAH WAH...lol What do they call April banders? Anything cutsie? Carol
  13. I think it's awesome K! I can't believe how fast that was for you! Like J said, post it everywhere you want! Carol
  14. BG -'They' keep talking about putting built in radios in our OR's too. I really wish they'd do that, it would be so much nicer than the current set up. Go get some rest girl!
  15. Oh... and good job J on the ticker! I usually don't pay too much attention to those either, so I'm sorry. BG--thanks for understanding my "last meal syndrome". I knew I couldn't be the only who's done this. I hope it ends soon and not the night before my liquid diet! haha
  16. Hi girls and boys! TGIF!!! I feel like I have 2 left feet and a few extra arms this week...argh! Picture this...nice quiet OR except for the lovely music playing softly in the background...The CD ends, the doctor asks me to change it, I put the CD in the boombox (which is resting on a ring stand), close the lid, and push play. As I push play, the whole thing falls through the ring stand and crashes upside down on the floor!!! CD slides across the floor!!! OMG I broke it! I couldn't even pretend I didn't know what happened! All I could think about was how much it was going to cost me to get him a new one! I confessed my sin (like he didn't already know by the huge crashing sound and lack of music) and told him I'd get him a new one. Someone else walks in the room (not knowing all this happened), went over to the boombox, pushed play and it worked!! LOL I got lucky, but still I felt bad. It took me all day before I could laugh about it!! Anyone got plans for the weekend?
  17. Hmmmmmm...you might be on to something! I have got to stop this! I know I'll be fed again, but for some reason it's like I'm saying goodbye or something. I think it's so weird. What's stranger, is that I know I'm doing it and can't seem to stop! I will admit that it's better than last week! LOL
  18. Hi everybody! Wow, quiet thread today! I saw the exercise physiologist today and she just got me so excited! hehe  What I mean is, that although I don't get banded until April, I was glad to be doing something leading up to it, ya know (dirty minds, lol)? Also, we talked the whole time about biking and at the end she said, "boy, I didn't expect you would be teaching me today...that was really cool that you know so much about exercise!". It was cool, but also funny to me. What a shame that I have the knowledge, but can't seem to apply it to my life. Bummer. I know exactly what to do to lose weight and get fit (don't all of us?), but can't get my body (and mind) to cooperate. I am looking forward to the Band giving me some control over my eating so I can 'walk the walk, not just talk the talk'. :grouphug: Oh, and get this! Ever since I got approved, I've been eating everything in site. Like it was my last meal...last cookie, last whatever. Stuff I wouldn't even normally choose, ridiculous. Well anyway, I somehow managed to lose 3 pounds this month!! Crazy, huh?
  19. We so craazzeee! LOL
  20. Oh my J...that is tempting! lol
  21. Hi all! Geez...hidin' bananas, lube, spatulas??? Good grief---Stef is gonna have some fun tonight!! Oh la la!
  22. Good for you! It's worth the hard work! We don't have a union, I wish we did. I don't understand how someone who goes to school to learn something that requires a license to practice is not considered a professional??!!??!! I just don't get that. Argh! You sure are having a big year! All the weight loss AND school? Wow, I admire your hard work and commitment. C
  23. I thought that maybe that was why you are so adamant that everyone stay away from that company. I guess I just don't understand the anger behind all your prior posts.
  24. Yes I did! I saw that you kept referencing that to J so I checked it out and played a few. Pretty cool!
  25. I am an RN. I took boards for my LPN while still in school for my RN so I could make more money (was a single mom at the time). I was a CNA making less than McDonald's paid, so when I got my LPN I felt rich! LPN's were paid about $5 more per hour than CNA's. I think now though, they may have bridged the gap. There are unit receptionists that make more than LPN. It's crap. I'm sorry that things haven't come around yet. Someday, when the nursing shortage is in full swing (and it's comin'), companies will have to pay more to keep the nurses from quitting!!! We seriously need a union!
