  1. I have wondered too. Does some of the fluid evaporate or something?? I read somewhere on here where someone actually had more than what their band was supposed to hold in it. I guess it depends on the band and where it is placed?
  2. I haven't gained any but loosing has been even harder. I am also having some horrible side effects. I was on it for 7 years off of it for 3 and recently went back on it. Had my 2nd shot last month. I am so tired and cranky, back pains, if I didn't know better I would say I was pregnant. I know I am not but this just sucks. I go back to my OB next month, my primary care thinks it is all the shot and is worried about my bones and calcuim. I think I am going to have to try something else. I don't want my period though!!
  3. Hi there! My son is a pumper. Maybe you will need to change to a different kind of infusion set. What kind do you use? We had to change his because he was too skinny! The tubing kept bending.
  4. When you have the soup for lunch do you have problems with it? What time is your lunch? Most people are tighter in the morning and sometimes I can't eat until around 12 but usually take lunch at 11.
  5. I did it last week for the first time. It worked really well! I fell off the wagon and needed to get back on. I did mostly shakes, soup, yogurt. I can tell the difference!
  6. I have a question. I was borderline high last October/Novemeber when I had surgery. I have never been on medicine before. I went to the doctor last week and my blood pressure was higher than it was last year! WTF I was screaming in my head. I lose weight and my blood pressure goes up??? She put me on maxide. Anyone ever hear of anything like this or know how that could be?
  7. When I don't have time for a "real" meal I usually have soup or something I know will go down easier. Just a suggestion.

I recently went back on the depo shot so I dont have periods, but I am having terrible side effects. I am very crabby, hungry all the time for junk, tired, back hurts, and my skin is breaking out. I feel like I am pregnant! I am going to the doctor tomorrow... hopefully they can check out my hormones or something. I was on depo before and it was never like this... I hope it goes away FAST!
  9. I wonder if all erosions are documented? I mean a lot of the people that go to Mexico are from the US. If they have it removed in the US or don't go back to the dr that placed it is it documented??
  10. Thats how it is, one day at a time. I think I am going to try that 5 day pouch test and then hit the low carb hard.
  11. Is anyone going down soon for a fill?
  12. I always gain a couple of pounds at first and then it drops pretty quickly. Try some of the flavorless fiber...
  13. I'm not doing so hot. It has been a horrible week and I so need to get back on track. I have had no energy... only worked out 2 times this week so far... I dont know if I am coming down with something or what. Plus my last fill didnt do much of anything.
  14. Do you have to pay for your fills? I would be upset if I had to pay for them and they are being that conservative. I have the same size band as you and it took me a while to get good restriction too.
  15. After I had my son in 1998 I went on depo. I was on it for 7 years. I then went off of it for 3 years, it took about a year for my periods to start back and they were horrible. I never had cramps before and they were awful. I went back on it about 4-5 months ago. I am so glad I went back on it!
  16. The Name Of Your Surgeon: Dr Lopez Corvala Website: www. beliteweight.com Cost: $8000 Date of Surgery: 10-05-07
  17. I need to join too. I have fallen off the wagon too and need to climb back on this week!
  18. Give the EAS a try. You can get a 4 pack at Walmart for $4.97. They have strawberry n cream, chocolate fudge, and french vanilla. They are all 2-3 carbs and around 17g protien.
  19. I would check with your dr, most want you to be on a low carb type diet to shrink your liver before surgery. Not sure if what your are drinking is low carb.
  20. Ugh, *sigh* I need a drink after reading all these posts. Wasa can you email me please, I tried to email you.
  21. I personally prefer and still use the EAS brand pre mixed shakes. I get them at Walmart or Sams. They come in powder too, but I prefer the pre-mixed. Tastes better to me.
  22. I would get a second opinion. I would find someone that would find out what is wrong with me before having it removed.
  23. gag me! hate to say it but i agree with everyone else. you dont know who had that band aid on and what they may had. obviously they didn't have gloves on! let us know what happens!!
