Hi- I was banded about 8 months ago when I was 19. First of all I would like to congratulate you on taking this step into your new future. I had a really good recovery, I had my surgery at 8AM and was out by 3PM. I was sore for about 2 weeks but after that everything was good. I have not had any complications. And as of right now I'm hoping to start with a trainer in March or April.

:cool2:Hi, my name is Mark-from ND. I'm 19 years old, I had my lap band surgery on July 18, 2007. I have done pretty good so far, lost 113 pounds and have about 1oo more. I just had another fill yesterday--thinking I'm finally at the right restriction w/8.2 cc.

No-I'm not at my goal yet, still have about 100+ pounds to meet my goal. What really works good for me is avoiding carbs, cardio 3-4 times/week--the weight has just been falling off. Right now I'm at the goal of losing 2 pound/week.
