  1. I'm so relieved to hear that others are back to a "no restriction" feeling. I also feel like I never had surgery--only 2 weeks out! I'm just trying to stay on clear liquids and counting the days til my fill on 3/10. I'd love to hear about anyone else who "can eat anything" without fullness.

  3. My doc used a Realize bands and didn't even tell me!
  4. I just got my band, so I didn't have it when I had my twins. I just wanted to say hi to you from a another over forty first time mom: I turned 42 just two weeks after my boys were born. Now they are almost 5! (I didn't have any complications and went full term for twins-38 wks). I did have to go through 3 cycles of IVF to get them, so start as early as you can!
  5. It is so great to read what others have said about their recent bands. I got banded on Tuesday-two days ago. My doc sent me home after about 4 hours in recovery including a barium swallow. The worst pain I've had is from my caffeine withdrawl headache the first evening. I was a bit nauseated and of course, I still have a lot of soreness. My husband took my four year old twins out all day today so I have gotten a lot of rest..'tis wonderful! I have great hope for the future and look forward to following everyone's progress.
  6. For Deniecey--Your post was very encouraging to me. I am going to be banded by Dr. Horgan on 2/12! I've had other surgeries so I'm not to scared, but it I was glad to hear that you had a relatively easy time w/ the Thornton crew. Glad to see that you have a low starting BMI, too. Our goals are very similar.
