  1. I have just gotton approved after starting the process in Dec also. My surgery is scheduled for August 1st. Congrats to you!!
  2. I wish I could help, but my gallbladder has been out for a while. I will be on a high protein liquid diet before and after surgery though.
  3. I am so happy for you!! My date is August 1st. I was turned down a few years ago by 2 different ins co's too.
  4. Can you tell me how I get my ticker to post on my profile like yours?
  5. I get banded August 1st and I am sure I will be a nervous wreck the night before too. You will be fine once they give you some happy juice.
  6. Well I hope you have had your surgery by now. I just saw your post and I wanted you to knoe that I have had all of those test you have and I have arrhythmia (irregular heatbeat) and I had almost 8,000 irregular beats in 24 hrs on the monitor. They even wanted to put a pacemaker in me, but I went to a cardiologist at a major heart center and he encouraged the sugery cause he said it would all get better if I loose the weight. So no pacemaker right now and my sugery date is August 1st.
  7. You have not had to have any fills?
  8. My hubby also does not fully support my decision about the lap band. He went with me to my visit and met the dr and he was very cooperative there. We do not talk about the surgery but I do tell him when I am going for a pre op visit or test. He promised he would not do anything to hurt my chance of surgery if that is what I want , but I know there will be NO sympathy or patience for me if I need to complain about ANYTHING pertaining to it. I just use this web site for my support and I have a couple of friends that I can talk to also.
  9. If it makes you feel any better, my surgeon said it only takes him 35 minutes to band a pt. I had knee surgery recently and it took over an hour. You should not be under long and it is not bad. The worse part might be when you WAKE UP in recovery and you might hurt from you incisions but the anesthesia won't hurt you. Also my cousin is a Nurse Anesthesist, they are the ones that sit at your head watching everything the entire time. Good luck, you have made the first step. I made that step Dec 12, 2007 and I am now in the process of getting all of my pre-op appts out of the way.
  10. You were at the weight that I am now and you are at the weight I want to be. I was wondering if you have a big problem with loose or hanging skin, it does not look like it in your picture. I hope I don't but I have been fat for a long time. Thanks. This is for Tricia K
  11. What reason did you have to have the band removed if you do not mind me asking? Sorry this for Furelle
