I was having the same pain and Just found out that instead of having my lapband surgery on Thursday I now have to have my gall bladder removed. Maybe its just your nerves if its something more they will find out tomorrow anyway. Don't worry , you will be fine just say a prayer!

I was suppose to have lap band surgery July 17, 2008. However I just found out that I have to have my gall bladder removed. 1. I was wondering if we are suppose to be on a high protein diet after lap-band or is the diet different if you have your gall bladder removed? :frown: 2. How long will I have to be on a liquid diet if I am having lapband surgery 2 weeks after July 17,2008 ?:eek: 3. I found out that dairy products, meat, or soft food such as eggs are discourage after gall bladder surgery? Most information leans towards low carb such as brown rice, low fat foods, and carbs meals. I am confused because I was told to eat more proteins after the lapband surgery what diet is the right one?

JWRN Do you have to have more than 1 health issue to get lap band at a low bmi? I'm 5 '1 and 195 lbs with asthma, joint, knees, and ankle pain, and some form of arthritis that begin with oses, and the on-set of type II Diabeties, depression, and daytime sleepiness and insomnia. I'm afraid my insurance will disqualify me because of the insomnia.

You said you have htn what is that? Have you heard anything about what happens when you can't sleep at all? I can't image sleeping at 9pm

My papers were submitted to my insurance company yesterday and my date is July 17. Why do they wait until right before the surgery to get approval?

I don't take anything for it but I,m worried about not being approved. I still have to do a sleep study and I dont think it's considered sleep apnea
