  1. Thanks. It certainly helps to hear it from multiple sources. It makes it easier to stay on track while the scale is not moving!
  2. I am feeling your frustration. I was banded on 1/3/08 and even though I am sticking to my 1/2 cup serving size, I have not lost a pound since I started on solid food. I do have some hunger as well, but not too bad yet. I am scheduled for a fill on 2/18, but am a little apprehensive. I have found that increasing my fluids is helping with the hunger - but even when I am not hungry, my stomach is making sounds. Hang in there, Meri
  3. I have an 18 month old and a 5 year old. I was so scared that I had my husband make all kinds of promises about raising our kids. And I wrote letters to them in case something went wrong! I am happy to say that I made it through surgery fine. The hardest thing has been that I can't really lift my daughter (over the 10 1b limit). I kept reminding myself that one of the reasons I chose to have the surgery was to be able to set a healthy example for my kids. Good luck.
  4. Pam, hang in there. You know you didn't really gain 6 pounds without eating! This was my first surgery ever, and I was surprised by some of the post-op changes I went thru also. I am 26 days post op and I really feel great most of the time. My doctor had me on liquid only for 3 weeks. I am just starting the pureed foods, so feeling a little weak at times. I think every day is getting easier! Good luck. I know you'll feel better soon
  5. I am having the same problem. I can get in at least 32oz and maybe up to 48 with huge effort, but have not been able to get down 64 oz. Good luck.
  6. Hi. My name is Meri. I was banded by Dr. vonRueden in Baltimore, MD on January 3. Glad to find so many people going thru the same!
  7. Hi Michelle, I was banded January 3rd and wish I had found this page before I started! How are you feeling?
