Isopure Zero Carb Drinks
I have a Sam's Club membership (that I've used once in 2 years LOL) Maybe I should go see what all they have over there.

Isopure Zero Carb Drinks
LOLOLOL I would too! I've never seen these in stores, but the Isopure site has a 12pk marked at $42.99. Phew that's a hefty price. I'd get a lock put on my popsicle maker!

Chewable Multi Vites - thoughts?
Oh yeah! I do take a chewable B12. I'll also mark Celebrate chewable as "not intolerable"

Chewable Multi Vites - thoughts?
Here's the whole slew of things I'm taking pre-op and supposed to continue post-op (aside the biotin/collage - that's my choice). So far I feel like a million bucks just after a few days! : - Multivitamin capsule (BariatricPal 1xday) - B-100 Complex (NOW brand 1xday) - Vitamin D3 (Zahler brand - 3000iu 1xday) - Calcium Chewy Bites (Bariatric Advantage 3xday) - Biotin (Sports Research 10,000mcg 1xday) - Collagen Peptides (Sports Research 1 packet daily - taken this for 4 months already, makes my hair and nails grow super fast) - 50 billion Probiotic (Renew Life Extra Care) - B12 chewable (Radiance Platinum 5,000mcg)

Chewable Multi Vites - thoughts?
So the ProCare chewables don't taste like a$$? I'm taking note of all the ones people are noting as most palatable. Here's the list of acceptable multivites given to me by my RD. Currently, I'm taking BariatricPal one-a-day during pre-op, but will have to switch to chewables post-op. I prefer to stick to the higher iron if I can tolerate it because it helps in preventing hair loss and also the lesser # of pills per day is ideal. I know all this has the potential to change laster, but I like hearing ya'lls opinions

Chewable Multi Vites - thoughts?
Please share your love or horror stories regarding chewable multivitamins vitamins. I'm leaning towards ProCare Health w/ 45mg iron because it's a one-a-day. Not planning on taking them yet, but I'm making plans for what to try first when the time comes.

Dietician Stuff...help me not be a jerk...
That’s good to hear. It’s taken so much work to change my mindset from “eat all the things” to keto. If all I need to do is dial back my fat, I should be good.

Rando Pouch Question - RNY
Ohhhhh! I couldn’t find that info anywhere. Now a few more things make sense. Thanks!

Rando Pouch Question - RNY
Yep! I should’ve specified so I edited my post to include RNY. My surgeon said reflux is rampant with sleeve patients and the #1 reason folks come to him for revisions to RNY. Some people just can’t get a handle on it ? I hope you can get some relief.

Halfway to surgery
Yay! I also started taking 10,000mcg biotin (Sports Research brand - same as the collagen). They apparently work together. The pill is TINY, about the size of a D3 capsule. Dude, I’m loading up now because I want to know I did everything I can to prevent hair loss, brittle nails and saggy skin. Here’s the Amazon link...Biotin (10,000mcg) with Organic Coconut Oil | Supports Healthy Hair, Skin & Nails | Non-GMO Verified & Vegan Certified (120 Veggie-Softgels) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T56FQAE/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_iA1oCb8WFT36C

When and How Much Vitamin D3?
Yep! I was JUST reading about fat soluble and water soluble vitamins! It makes a ton of sense now. I’ve always had low vitamin D because I hate going outside. My job is indoors and we practically work in the dark because were a bunch of introverted nerds who should probably just live in caves LOL For now, I’ve settled on 3,000iu of D3 in the morning with my other meds and taking the calcium chews alone during the day since they already have D3 ?? I have labs in a couple months so if I need more, we can adjust it then.

Dietician Stuff...help me not be a jerk...
That’s awesome ❤️ my dietician’s full-time job is working with folks that have had major complications after WLS. She’s definitely a diamond in the rough. Very sweet, helpful and knowledgeable. Even though we only meet once a month we actually email and text frequently. She told me I have unlimited coverage for our visits pre-op and post-op with my new insurance which I’m so thankful for BUT I told her to brace herself because I’m a question-asking machine. She may want to kill me before my 6 months are over! LOLOLOL

Rando Pouch Question - RNY
Does the new pouch after RNY make any stomach acid or is that all done via the old stomach?

When and How Much Vitamin D3?
Woweee that's a lot!

When and How Much Vitamin D3?
Right...I'm going to start the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews and they only have 500iu per chew...3 per day = only 1500iu. My vitamin guide sheet says I need 3000-5000iu of D3 per day so I need 2000-3500iu more. I think I'll just buy a bottle of 3000iu, take it in the morning then just take the chews by themselves and hit close to the max iu per day requirement.

When and How Much Vitamin D3?
I'm pre-op but going ahead with taking my vites to get into the habit. I know D3 helps absorption of calcium. I already have a bottle of D3 5000iu because I was told to take that dose last year after low amounts on bloodwork. My question is...Since my D3 is such a high dose, if I take the D3 in the morning once and my calcium 3 times a day, will I still have enough D3 in my system to support that last evening calcium dose? Or should I get another bottle of D3 in smaller doses to take each time I take the calcium?

Know your post-op insurance coverage
Geez I'm sure it'll work itself out. You can't be the only person to have to go through this crap.

Know your post-op insurance coverage
Interesting!

Know your post-op insurance coverage
Ahhh sounds like you have Blue Cross or something. I have Anthem Blue Cross and they require the BC Center of Excellence junk too. So your surgery was performed in the right place and your doctor just charged wrong? That's messed up.
-
Know your post-op insurance coverage
How did you end up finding out that they were trying to charge too much for your surgery?
