Yep, Prevacid 30mg (Lansoprazole) is what I'm on. I decided to keep taking it after my H. Pylori treatment because it was helping SO much with my constant indigestion. Good to hear you heard the same thing- NSAIDs

No clue. Never taken Midol. Advil/ibuprofen has been the only thing to kill off the cramps. I know it can all change after surgery. I'm just curious if anyone else has been told that an NSAID was OK to take as long as they're on a PPI.- NSAIDs
That's awesome!!!- NSAIDs
Please folks...I'm not hear for a lecture. I'm just reporting what my surgeon's office told me was OK and I'm curious if anyone else's surgeon said the same. I haven't had surgery yet. OK so....I emailed my surgeon the other day and asked what NON-NSAID pain relief can they prescribe for period cramps (in case Tylenol ends up not working for me) when the time comes because my cramps are pretty brutal for maybe 2 days max. She said they rarely do that BUT, as long as I stay on Prevacid after surgery, taking a couple Advil per month should be safe and fine. Has anyone else been told this and ended up getting an ulcer anyway? Thanks for your feedback!!!- Insurance approval
I'm Anthem BCBS and my plan requires 6 dietician visits. My last one is May 1st so after that, I'll have more info to give about the experience.- Keto Diet with weight loss surgery - What are your thoughts about it?
Here's a great thread from my keto community about IF and ketosis https://www.ketovangelist.com/fasting-destroys-your-cells-and-thats-a-good-thing/ Also, Dr. Jason Fung, MD is the be all, end all when it comes to IF. Tons of videos and books https://www.dietdoctor.com/authors/dr-jason-fung-m-d- Wheeee! H. Pylori ?
Same with me. Told it was required which is cool. The EGD helped me hit my insurance deductible LOL- Wheeee! H. Pylori ?
Wonder why they waited to test for H. Pylori after surgery? It can contribute to ulcers.- Weight Loss Meds???
I meant to come back here and post on my experience with Takeda's patient assistance program, but totally forgot. SO...it's absolutely fantastic! Within days of applying, they shipped me 270 days of medication for free Thank you again for suggesting this. You pretty much helped saved my world!- Wheeee! H. Pylori ?
I think it depends on your surgeon. How long have you been on antibiotics?- Wheeee! H. Pylori ?
OMG That sucks!!! Are you taking Clarithromycin/Amoxicillin/Lansoprazole?- Psych Eval Today!!!
- Anyone else find it difficult with liver shrinking diet with their surgeries?
- Anyone else find it difficult with liver shrinking diet with their surgeries?
It's not really shrinking your liver itself...it's the fat around it- Psych Eval Today!!!
All done! The psych eval went really well and it was very quick (about 20 minutes), but we had a nice chat. All he asked was how long have I been overweight, are there others in my family with weight issues, do I have other health issues, what have I tried in the past, how do I think surgery will affect my life, stuff like that...other than those things, it was a relatively short, positive conversation. He said after he writes up his report he'll provide the clearance. Woot! Easy peasy. Edit: I did have a true/false questionnaire that I filled out ahead of time. It was 165 questions. Your surgeon may not use this, but at least it'll give you an idea what you could expect as far as the line of questioning. Here's the file. MBMD Million Behavioral Medicine Diagnostic Test Booklet.pdf- Psych Eval Today!!!
Yes ma'am! After this, I just have 2 more dietician phone calls and it's off to the insurance Good luck to you too!- Wheeee! H. Pylori ?
That's awful! My surgeon said they don't even test again after this first round of meds...*shrug*....alllllrighty then! LOL Best of luck to you too- Psych Eval Today!!!
I was told it'll probably take just 15 minutes but I'm still nervous. Fingers crossed, folks!- ThermiSmooth Body Procedure
The BP forums, at the time, had no info on ThermiSmooth. No one at the time had posted about it. I hadn’t researched it either. I was reading my surgeons site, saw it, copied and pasted the basic info into my post and was curious about other’s possible experience with it. I was sharing info I had just learned. I’m not promoting anything no more than people talk about their skin removal surgery. Chill out, lady. Geez. Not that big a deal. ?- Coffee?
My surgeons office told me that the only reason they want us avoiding coffee is the caffeine. It can dehydrate you when you're already struggling to get liquids in. Kinda makes sense.- What kind of blender for purees?
There's a new Ninja product I've got in my cart ready to buy...it's called the Ultra Prep. Here's a link --> Ninja Ultra Prep Here's what the advert mainly boasts about, The Ninja® Ultra Prep™ is the ultimate food and drink maker. Driven by three interchangeable blades and a 700-watt power pod, it can easily switch from blender to food processor to dough mixer, and deliver incredible results.- Yup. I regret this.
LOLOL No biggie! I'm sure I'll have questions for you too once I get done reading through this thread I'm so sorry you feel this way and are regretting surgery EDIT- And you figured out your BP thing! WOOT! Sorry, I just hadn't gotten past the first couple pages lol - NSAIDs
