  1. It gets so much better! I had mine on Jan. 25, and struggled the first few days, but not feel almost normal again. Once the stomach swelling goes down it will be much easier!
  2. @@leonelbreton You might want to try GENEPRO, it is more expensive, but the scoops are smaller, the mix is finer, and you get 30g of Protein. I ordered from Amazon..... http://www.amazon.com/Musclegen-Research-Genepro-Medical-Servings/dp/B00K6OSDYA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1455942223&sr=8-1&keywords=genepro You should find it much easier soon!

Soup at 10 days post op

You are so lucky your doc lets you eat soup, pudding and yogurt at 10 days! I could only have liquids until 21 days. I am now on soft foods, but soup and pudding were definitely not recommended. It is just grand being able to at least eat some things, though! Good luck and try to follow your doc's instructions.....

  13. @@ad5707 I am also one week out, and if I were you I would call your doc...last week I had to go in for two infusions, and think they helped a lot. I am feeling pretty good now, able to get the liquids down, and mostly pain free. Good-luck and keep us posted!

    Post op day two, help

today is Day 4 for me, and maybe a tad better, but still can't get 40 oz. in so the dr. has me back at the hospital for IV hydration sessions today and tomorrow, and prescribed an anti-nausea med....I envy those who don't seem to have any difficulty! The only thing I can really tolerate are popsicles...

    HELLO JANUARY SLEEVERS!

can you describe how you feel at 1 week, so I can see some light at the end of the tunnel?
  23. @Joshua Torode sorry to hear you have had so much trouble. I had surgery the 25th also, but went home the next day. Continues to be hard to get the fluids down....everything tastes icky to me. Nausea continues...feeling down, hope this passes soon. .
  24. Hi Frank, You are not alone! I backed out 3 yrs. ago, with surgery scheduled, due to a lot of the same concerns you raise. Also, thought, "I can do this without such a drastic step"...nope. So I went thru the entire 6 mos. process again, and had the sleeve surgery Mon., Jan. 25. Now is probably not the best time to ask my opinion, since I am still in the very beginning of recovery and not feeling great, but I do know that I did this to have a healthier and longer life. Trust yourself, weigh the balances and you'll make the best decision for you!

    Home and resting.

thanks, I am having the hardest time getting the little bit of shakes in, and suspect they are are causing the nausea, and am feeling stressed trying to get all the fluids in...am hopeful that each day will get better.
