  1. I have had greater sucess with each fill but i also had a small band(4cc) so my fills were not very big but made a huge impact. I am holding around 2cc in my band. So i have reached my weight goal but maintaining is the next step. Hope everything works out for you.
  2. I am here to say way to go! It is half of the battle to know you were off track and to find your way back. Congrats on the 65lb weight loss and i hope that you will lose all that you are aiming for.
  3. i promise that it does get better, i can say that because i am now over 2 years out and i have reached my goal. The first 2 weeks were the real test for me from mood swings to pain and back again. I think alot of it was withdrawl from caffine and sugar. But now i feel like it was all worth it. Just keep going and find your own way through the first 2 weeks. After that it can only get better. sorry about the smiles but they always make me smile no matter how stupid!! Have a happy new year!
  4. I am also a banded alabamian. I am so happy that it is working for you but it is also just you that is making the band work for you! Congrats and keep on going..Good luck and happy new year!
  5. I have one major incision and 4 small "poke" holes. My port is located very low on my left side. alot lower than it sounds like anyone elses is. Mine is nearly down by the top of my hip bone...weird......
  6. Thanks for posting the guidelines again. I have let my protein kinda slide so now i am looking for lots of high protein reciepes. Other than that i am feeling much better about things and have even decided to try a new workout to change up my routine. Thanks for everyones support and i hope everyone well with their journeys. If i can be of help to anyone , please always feel free to contact me.
  7. Thank you all for the support. It is great to see it from someone elses point of view. i guess your right i am at a good place, but that temptation to just lose those last 20 pounds is just so much........But i am going to talk to my doctor soon and see what i should do. Also if anyone has any ideas on more protein reciepes, i would greatly apperciate it. Thanks.
  8. I would love to have a cookbook too. I have one low fat reciepe that i will send to you but send my cookbook to WolfGoddess30@yahoo.com . This is the best idea.
  9. Great, I will be here for you if you ever need it. Just give me a beep!...
  10. Thanks for the encouragement , but i guess sometimes it just feels wrong when you stop and do don't think you should. I want to tahnk you for your kind words and i will try to be positive.
  11. I have been banded since sept.2006 and as of this month i have lost 80 pounds. But i have been at 80 pounds for a while even with tighting my band and everything. I don't know what to do and i am getting very discouraged. I feel like such a failure when i read everyone elses stories and how they have lost more in less time then i have. I recently (3-18-08) have my ovaries removed and now i feel really bad even though i know that i am bloated and swollen due to surgery but it just feels hopeless. Can anyone help me with suggestions and what you eat and stuff like that? I can use anything that i can get. I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow but then i think i will go and make an appointment with Dr. Britt (my band doc) and see what we need to do. But if ANYONE has any help for me i will GLADLY accept it. I have just recently found this site and have been more of a observer than a particapater. Thanks for all your time.. Down and Almost out in alabama:frown:
  12. Hi, My surgeon was also Dr. Steven Britt. I love him and his staff so much. I have recommened at least 3 people to him and one has already had her band. I got banded on Sept. 25th, 2006. I wish i had done this sooner. I feel so much better. I live around the fyffe and rainsville area.
  13. Alot of people in my family were happy at first but now that i have lost 75 pounds they have started saying that i need to stop but i know what i need and i think that you should know what is right for your body and self. Just worry about you and God and you will be fine.
  14. i have a 4cc band and i am filled to 1.8, i have been banded since 9/25/06. I have lost 74 pounds so far.
  15. I think you are doing great and i think your doc may need an attitude adjustment..lol... but i have a doctor in Boaz,AL but that is the only doc i know and hes probably out of your way. But no matter what he says you keep going and never feel ashamed for asking for help. That is why we went through all this is because we couldnt do it alone. I wish you all the best.
