  1. I had my surgery on January 5th. I had the same issue for the first week. It has since died down. The nurse at the hospital told me when the pain. Starts to take a deep breathe through your nose and exhale through your mouth. It works really well. I was sent home with all pills. I was confused at first because our nutritionist said that they would need crushed. However my Dr said otherwise. They pills really aren't that big so.
  2. Same.... sent in right after my approval appointment

  4. Where are u from Monique? Im about an 1 1/2 from Buffalo. I had my surgery at ECMC.
  5. It is a private group! Only members can see what in it
  6. I could use something home cooked lol
  7. My surgery is the 5th. I will definitely posting on here when I'm in the hospital and when I get home!
  8. Mine is covered through my insurance but I know I went through care credit for my sons medical needs that were not covered by insurances. They do specials with 0 interest rates for like 12 months. Worth checking into. First make sure the drs office accepts this.
  9. My kids are 8 and 12. They both know what I am going to do. All of us are over weight except my 8 yr old daughter. ( not sure what gene she has lol) there are a few reasons for this surgery and one of them being I want to be able to help my son be healthier. They know what to expect from mommy and the challenges I have already faced. My liver reduction diet through the holidays was tough but they held me accountable. You do have younger kiddos so maybe they don't need to know everything besides mommy is trying to be healthier and this surgery will help you.
  10. I used bariatric protein in chocolate mousse and strawberry shortcake. They were actually pretty good. I ordered them off from www.bariatricfusion.com
  11. Hi Marie! Im new to the group as well. My surgery date is Jan 5th! Im super excited but nervous of course. There is a woman on here that did some tutorials on her journey on you tube. I actually feel better after watching them. If you want to see them yourself search Trisha's sleeve story!
  12. My family, close friends and coworkers know. I don't feel that its everyones buisness ya know. These individuals that know are the ones who will help me along and are very excited for me. People are very judgemental anymore and why should it be any of their concern.
  13. Don't be! They told me the same thing 2-3hrs. I was in and out in 40min and that was because I had to wait.
  14. Hi everyone I'm new to the group as of today. Im excited I found this app. Im scheduled for my surgery on Jan 5th! Im super excited but also crazy nervous about the surgery itself!
