  6. There was a lady I messaged on here who was the same weight and height as me who lives in London and had surgery in Prague said she would chat to me on the phone but I can't find her message to contact her again.
  7. Hi I am due to have surgery on the 29th June but I am getting the jitters. I would be fine if everyone around me was more positive but my children and partner are really anxious about it and all I am hearing is the 'what ifs'. I am on a guilt trip thinking if anything did happen I would have been the one who made this choice. Please help you guys ❤️❤️❤️

  9. Thank you Perforce, Carl Dickenson and AlighterKann For your kind replys ! I would like to think I would have my doctor on my side, but not sure about that but as you said perforce tell them don't ask !! I am going to make sure I do talk to my doctor before I do go have surgery. It is a good idea to have them on your side thank you. Can I ask you also where you went for your surgery Perforce ? I like the idea they kept you in for a week most just want to only have you there a very short time. Many thanks ❤️

  16. Hi Livingstone That was brilliant to read your journey ! It makes it much clearer to me the things to expect ! I kept waiting for those words anxiously " you were happy you had been sleeved" he he
  17. Hi Jinty was you the same weight when you went for surgery ? What was it like ? I keep getting mixed messages ! If you don't make no me asking what price was your surgery please ? It's so good to talk to positive people !! Many thanks xx
  18. I have not booked my op yet but I am looking at either Belguim or Prague. I am paying for it myself so want a good surgeon at a good price !! I have found a good one in Belguim but he is a bit more expensive than I was wanting to pay
  19. I am 5.3ft and weigh 14.5 , BMI 36. I suffer with osteoporosis in my spine, sciatica in my legs and asthma. I have been told by my doctor that he believes I have ultra sensitive airways. There fore I am forever catching one thing or other and end up taking steroids which battles with my weight fluctuation. This I believe puts pressure on my back and legs. I am suffering from depression at the moment as this is a constant battle with my weight. I never want to leave the house as I don't have clothes to fit or feel good about myself . But I am afraid of the risks of surgery and the drastic change in my lifestyle but would love to be able to wear my real clothes again and not just something to cover my frumpy body. But your story is giving me the inspiration to go and get the op !!!!
  20. Hi Sue Did you go in the thyroid meds to put weight on or was it medicinal ? I have thought what if I lose too much weight and start looking gaunt in the face ? It must be a lovely feeling to be able to wear nice clothes again ? Oasis
  21. That is brilliant !!! And how are you getting on with it since ? Have you had any problems or is it all been quite easy to cope with ? I think everyone seems to have different experiences. I keep reading pros and cons !! One minute I am all for op and then I think oh no ! He he I don't have that much weight to lose but it's a constant battle with my health and I know long term life would be so much better. Look forward to hearing your reply and if there are ant questions you would like to ask me fire ahead
  22. Hi martm22 Hi pleased to virtually meet you ! I am pre op but your welcome to chat anytime ! How did your op go ? Where did you have it done ? I will await your reply
