  1. Thank you, after reading a few other post I'm surprised at how well I'm doing but I'll take it. : )
  2. I had my surgery Dec 16th and I'm doing very well so far, no pain or gas medicines. I do try to get out and walk as much as possible. I'm just having a hard time not being able to eat certain things. Is there anything that I can eat during the full liquid diet besides stuff from the clear liquids, sf pudding, protein shakes, cream of wheat, soup and sf popsicles? please tell me there is something else : )
  3. I am 6 days post op and I'm sure you should be able to have sugar free jello, on day 2 at the hospital I had alot of jello, water, tea, and Powerade
  4. Hello my name is Ebony and I'm a wife and mother of three. I recently had RNY on December 16th. My weight has been up and down for so long, I read about gastric bypass for months until I finally decided to make an appointment to see a doctor. My highest weight was 226 at my first visit which was 11/18/15 with a bmi of 40.23, on the day of surgery 12/16/15 I was 222. Yes you're reading it right lol I had my initial visit, seminar, 2 nutrition appointments, blood testing, sleep study, psychological evaluation, insurance approval, and surgery all within 4 weeks. I was very shocked at how fast the process was for me but I was beyond ready to have this new start. As of today I am 6 days post op, I haven't had any pain meds in 3 days and I was able to get out and walk a mile today with no problems. The only thing I am struggling with is not being able to share the delicious meals with my family. My husband has been very supportive throughout this whole process so when I'm having a melt down he helps remind me of why I made this decision and I love that about him. As of now I'm on full liquids so I mainly have water, protein shakes, propel, cream of wheat, sugar free pudding, creamy soups, jello, and sugar free popsicles. I feel as though I have done very well so far, I can't wait to see how much I've lost in just 2 weeks at my appointment.
