  4. Make sure you are not using a straw to sip your drinks. Thus could very well be causing the gas build up if you are. Sent from my SM-N900V using the BariatricPal App

  11. This could very well explain why I hurt so bad after surgery and why my recovery process has been longer than others. I had RNY on Nov. 17 along with gall bladder removal, hiatal hernia repair, egd and liver biopsy done. I still don't feel at 100% and I am on my 2nd time being out of work. I too had trouble getting in exercise and still don't be a use I have no energy and am fatigued all the time. I'm just waiting on feeling better so that I can get back to exercise. Good luck.
  12. I am 9 weeks out and I'm still not hungry. I have been forcing myself to drink 2 protein shakes a day and other drinks in between.
  13. Are you eating sugars. I've heard people say that they had to cut all sugars out of their diet and exercise.
  14. I'm drinking at least 2 protein shakes a day. That's giving me 60 grams of protein a day and just drinking different fluids in between. I feel alot better.
  15. No I dont. I hardly eat anything. I'm hearing people say get this in and make sure you are drinking that but it's so easier said then done. I'm def gonna try though.
  16. Good afternoon. I am 8 weeks post op and I am not eating or drinking the recommended protein. I have absolutely no appetite and my surgeon said sometimes it's normal and takes some a little longer to get their appetite. I have no energy so it's hard for me to work. Is their anyone in here that have gone through the same thing and have any suggestions on what to do. Thanks in advance.
  17. I have never been a fan of Gatorade but I finally bought some last night. Best decision I made. It tasted well and it went down easy. So I think I found me something to drink. Thanks for all the advice.
  18. Like i said before. It hurts or maybe the word is uncomfortable to swallow. But I will be scheduling an appt with the surgeon this week. I also had an appt with the surgical dietician and she said to worry about getting fluids and not so much to worry about protein right now. I'm getting vitamins in as well.
  19. I had surgery Nov 17. I had a difficult time with pain management. Buy I am having some issues with getting fluid down and eating. Everything hurts to go down. Has anybody had or are having this problem. I'm not meeting any of my goals and I'm not loosing any weight and I k ow it's because I'm not meeting the protein goal everyday. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
