  1. So I talked to my doc at my one month post-op about getting dizzy when going from squatting down to standing up..he said it was totally normal just to get up slower. They double checked my bp which was great and I am not on any bp meds. I haven't ever had issues with it. Well today, I made it from my bed into my master bedroom and without warning totally fell to the ground. I wouldn't say blacked out, b/c I didn't lose consciousness although I was woozy when I stood back up. Then this afternoon made it from my room going toward the kitchen and it almost happened again--I grabbed hold of a column thing we have in our house until it passed. It has gotten me a little scared b/c it comes on without warning while I'm in the middle of walking, not when I first stand up. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks!
  2. My dr has me taking double of all my vitamens etc (I split them and take twice a day)....What do you take of acid reducer? I am only taking one a day now, but wasn't sure if b/c of the new stomach if I should be taking twice a day. What are you guys doing?
  3. I'm your height and have never been able to wear a 12/14 at 200ish.....I am 181 right now and there are some 18s I still can't wear and 16s just aren't there yet...
  4. I"m glad you asked...I meant to ask my dr this yesterday and forgot.
  5. I told people who were close to me...most of my co-workers know I have worked my a** off the 4 months leading up to surgery to lose weight (I lost the majority before surgery)....people who don't know me that well mostly think it is all starting to pay off big time...lots of time I just tell people high Protein and lots of gym time. Others who know are really just curious....they were excited when I could move from liquids to mushy type foods and have been my cheerleaders. I had one friend who said don't do it, but she wasn't snarky...just worried about me. She has been a huge supporter since then. In the hospital last week she called me daily to make sure that I didn't need her to bring me a protien drink or some form of protien.....I had to miss the last week of work b/c hubby was in a major accident and have 2 weeks off for the holidays now....so I'm sure I"ll be getting some looks, b/c the weight is coming off pretty quickly right now between stress and the surgery. My boss was so happy for me...she was the one I was most worried about telling that I would be missing work for wls.
  6. My dr mentioned it at one month out about being less tolerant of cold now that I've lost weight--that it is a normal side effect..
  7. Apparently just the treat of a laxative or an enema spoken by the dr worked....I POOPED!!! :-)
  8. Up until this weekend I was meeting my daily water and Fluid goals. Hubby was in a motorcycle accident Saturday and fractured his C2 vertebrate and we spent until Monday on the neurology floor at the hospital--had surgery etc. I feel like my eating and everything has gone backwards due to this (only 4 weeks post op)--but I was having this issue before he actually had his accident. I am going to try miralax today....meet with dr tomorrow for my 1 month post-op.
  9. I'm 4 weeks out and I can't remember the last time I pooped. I'm going to have to get a poop calendar. I am not even kidding. I know for a while I was going once ever 3 days or so---I know I haven't pooped this week or last. I am passing gas...but no poop. What can we do to get things moving again? I'm not in pain or uncomfortable or anything if that makes a difference. A girls gotta go!
  10. That is on my list for my dr in two days for my 4 week check up. I get so dizzy when I squat down to look at something then stand up.
  11. I guess I had always thought it was baloney when people had said that you could lose inches but not lose weight :-P
  12. The scale hasn't been my friend, but I've come to terms with that for the most part. My question is if the scale isn't moving....how are my clothes fitting differently-- people are finally starting to notice the weight that I lost pre-op and clothes that I haven't fit into in 5 years are starting to fit and even getting loose. I don't get how I can not be losing pounds but that I seem to still be shrinking. Anyone know what the heck my body is doing?
  13. No advice, but I am 3 weeks out and I still itch....but now I'm itchy all over my belly. eek!
  14. For those of you taking Biotin, how much are you taking per day?All of my other Vitamins I take twice a day, so I was thinking I would need to do the same for Biotin with the way my new student works. Any advice?
  15. I was put on a spasm med for my hiatal hernia that they fixed during surgery...seems to be working...and it is getting better by the day.
  16. I am 20 days post-op and feel like I've lost my mind today. I was feeling great the last 2 days and then boom- today I"m an emotional mess. I think I am just tired of having to think about every little bit of protien or liquid that I get down. I don't even want to go eat anything unhealthy just tired of having to worry about it. I am not feeling so friendly with the scale right now either....it had been moving pretty good before surgery, but this week it keeps going up and down the same 2 lbs... I am following dr's orders, and there is no way I'm gaining, but dang- it is really messing with my head today.
