  4. Originally my insurance wanted 6 months of the doctor supervised weight loss and now it's changed to 3 months. I'm already past 3 months but still waiting on upper GI and psych eval. Those will hopefully be done next week so I'm looking at having a surgery date of early June. We are not prepared for that at all. We were expecting August/September. If I am approved and given a surgery date that is too soon can I continue going to the doctor for weight loss monitoring and push my surgery back? Or is it set in stone? I have CIGNA if that matters. 5. Seriously? Wow...I'm 3.5 months into mine so I guess I may be ready to go sooner than I thought. That of course is if I can ever get schedule for psych eval and upper GI! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Cigna requires you to see a doctor for 6 months prior to surgery.
  7. I know I am going to want my big, comfortable bed after surgery but it is upstairs. Will I be able to make my way up the stairs 2 days after surgery? I can maneuver stairs just fine at my current weight so the only concern would be the pain and energy level.
