How do you know what weight you should be?
This is a really interesting thread. I chose an arbitrary goal for my ticker. I'm going to remember @@Babbs advice and try to just keep going until I don't lose anymore. Seems wise.

Collar Bones-- When did you start to notice them
It really depends person to person. I don't think mine stuck out when I weighed in the 120s in college.

I need advice about my ex-girlfriend.
I heard about that story, too. Was her persona named Rick? If so, then the straight woman actually ended up marrying the lesbian woman, lol! Crazy, right? I don't think I'm being catfished to that extent. I know what she looks like and I've even done a background check on her (she allowed me to) and everything she says is true. I've even Skype'd her parents. So I know she is real. But, I know it's unhealthy to continue this. Last night really was an eye-opener for me. I know my worth. I know I deserve better. This morning she texted me saying she's depressed. I rolled my eyes when I got that text because she said this after I told her that I was doing some soul searching last night. I feel like she said this to pull me back into her dark cave. I'll admit, a part of me was pulled back, but the other park is staying in a safe spot. I'm keeping part of my guard up. I think she may call me later, I'm not sure. Good news is, I'm going to my 2nd support group tomorrow since surgery and I'm excited! LOL! I have to admit, this made me laugh so hard! I really should! Easier said than done! But that was my first instinct when I read your post. You deserve something much better. We all do. But glad I made ya laugh.

Sushi after surgery?
Next time I eat sashimi I'll try and cut it down to 2-3 pieces and see if I feel satisfied. I bet I will.

Beating yourself up nutritionally speaking
They have no reason to care at VS. it's a massive chain store and they don't make commission. They get tracked for how many store credit cards they sell. They aren't bra fitting experts like you might see at Bra Smyth. Anyway I beat myself up anytime I fail to plan. I'm still looking for that perfect Protein snack I can keep in my purse for emergencies. I think it has to be an icky Protein Bar because I like perky Jerky too much and will just eat it it it's around.

What does your "full" feel like?
hi there- I'm 9 weeks out and travel frequently for work as well so share the same concern. I've eaten too much twice since getting the sleeve. It was NOT like overeating pre-op for me. If I overate pre-op I would just get that full swollen stomach feeling. Both times post-op I got an uncomfortable feeling in my chest and was immediately exhausted and had to lay down. I fell asleep. I woke up a couple of hours later and tried to sip Water which caused more pain. It took like 6 hours to feel normal which interfered with water intake and the whole day was thrown off. They were truly awful experiences for me. And I'm pretty sure it's the difference of 1-2 bites that got me there. I'm extremely cautious now, more so when I'm on the road. Ugh! Never again I hope.

Sushi after surgery?
Damn. 9 weeks out and I had 5-6 pieces for dinner the last two nights. I weighed them last night and it was 3.5 oz which is my usual Protein serving. It's filling af but not sure I could get by on 3 pieces. I get hamachi which is super thin tho.

Which blender should I get?
I have a Blender Bottle for when I'm traveling and the brand of blender I have at home is called Vitamix. It works great.

Did you tell people?
I didn't tell anyone I had the surgery. Almost 10 weeks out. I've said this in a dozen of these threads but I eat socially all the time and NO ONE has commented on how little I'm eating. Not my family, not my coworkers, not my friends, not guys I'm dating. People pay way less attention than you think. I'm losing weight fast so some of them (like my family) think I am finally succeeding on a diet and they are too overjoyed to see me lose to chastise me for eating so little. That's my theory!

CALLING ALL JULY 2016 SLEEVERS
Hi Team July! I was sleeved lucky 7/7. I am still thrilled with my decision. As of today I'm down 40 lbs which far far exceeded my expectations for where I would be at so soon post op. I have exponentially more energy than I did pre-op and am loving life. My only struggle is with sleep! But I'm working on it.

Sushi after surgery?
Yes sushi without rice is called sashimi. They usually serve it with a side of rice. I am a sashimi freak hehe. Yes, and rolls without rice are called naruto rolls. They wrap the fish in thin slices of cucumber instead of rice and seaweed.

Grocery List Suggestions?
@@LipstickLady yeah, and cheese. I probably left out some cheese on my list as well. Cheese for president.

Grocery List Suggestions?
I just went shopping. I live alone and don't love to cook so I've been on the lookout for a lot of healthy, clean looking pre-cooked lean Proteins. The easier it is to grab something, portion it out and eat it the less likely I am to make stupid choices. And at 9 weeks out stupid choices more than likely means not eating anything for an entire day or only eating cheese. So here's the lazy single persons list for ya: Fage yogurt Pre cooked Applegate farms grilled chicken breast, plain and fajita flavor Atkins ranch frozen lamb patties (only ingredient is ground lamb, salt and pepper) BratHans chicken burgers (these are quickly becoming a favorite...microwave them for 1 minute) Individually packed 4% Cottage cheese Cold brew coffee Cabot seriously sharp cheese Snacks Babybel cheese Fairlife milk (has extra protein) Electrolyte enhanced Water Saucy Fish Co lime & cilantro pre cooked salmon fillets Turkey perky Jerky And some brie cheese because I'm a sucker for it All of that will last me over 2 weeks pretty much. I also got some pineapple and strawberry today because I want to try and work small amounts of fruit into my daily diet. Total cost today was like $113.

Sushi after surgery?
I had sashimi and naruto rolls pretty early on post op- by 3-4 weeks it was allowed on my plan. I don't miss the rice and without it, it's a solid high protein rchoice for our post op diet!

What are the kitchen must haves?
9 weeks out here. I have a digital food scale that gets used whenever I eat or prepare food at home. The Blender Bottle was a godsend for when I was traveling in the earlier stages. I already had a vitamix blender and I do use it for the occasional protein drink or smoothie but easily could have relied on pre made shakes as well.

Bananas are NOT a low carb food
Does that knowledge come from experience? I always thought the old adage was pineapple and watermelon! I been drinking....watermelon.DRINKING watermelon? Oh. I didn't know that was how we were supposed to use it.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App ????
