  1. Also mine doesn't have the blue dye. And last time I was in there, he did an ex ray and my balloon liked normal and had a round shape so he said it isn't deflated or leaking.
  2. From the research I did, at about 3 months, most people slow down in their weight loss. Their body adjusts to the balloon. I didn't think that would happen to me, but then it did. My balloon was filled to 600. my doctor said that is the standard. One thing that I try to remind myself is that I made it through the holidays and 3 vacations without gaining weight (and even losing weight. ) that's unheard of for me. I don't regret getting it. I wish it wasn't so expensive though.
  3. I'm glad you are at least getting some money back! I am so sorry it didn't work. I also only needed to lose about 30-35 lbs and I've only lost 15. And it's not really working for me any more. I haven't lost any since mid Jan. My body has adjusted and I don't get a full feeling any more. I am back to counting every calorie and trying to not over eat on my own. I'm glad I'm down some, but I'm sad that it's still all me.
  4. I never threw up. Just felt terrible.
  5. I'm so sorry! It really isn't fair. I don't think they filled your balloon up enough and they should reimburse you for that or something. This was expensive! The last two weeks I haven't lost and even went up a little. I can't really feel my balloon any more (it's in there but i wonder if it's smaller) and don't have any feeling of restriction. I've been so hungry (probably because I'm not sick). I go tomorrow to my doctors so I'll see what he says. I'm afraid I'm not going to lose any more weight. And really the only time I have lost weight is when I felt too sick to eat. I'd really like to lose 10 to 15 more pounds.
  6. I really hope it works!
  7. I just saw this. How's it going?
  8. This is how my doctor is doing it. It's a 12 month program. I thought that was interesting. But I'm glad they do.
  9. Not the Obera balloon. After 6 months it can rupture and cause a blockage.
  10. That's amazing! Thanks for the update! Congratulations on your success! Keep keeping us updated.
  11. After 3 days I felt a little better. I was good for a few days then I'd get really sick. It went on like that for a month. At 6 weeks I thought I was in the clear. Then I got sick again. Just when I think o have everything figured out, i get sick. but it's more manageable now. I'm about 10 weeks out now.
  12. It was about 3 months. I only took half a dose because that was working for me and that's what the doctor told me to do in the beginning. And even then I skipped every few days. So I would take it for 3 or 4 days in a row and then I would forget to take it. Then I would notice that I would start to feel tired so I would take it again. It gave me energy and made it so I wasn't hungry.
  13. I took phentramine pre-balloon. I lost twenty lbs. I did that on half a dose as well. I liked it but you can only take it for a few months because your body gets use to it.
  14. hmmm...you are probably right!! I feel great today and have been hungry all day! Maybe I should do a downward dog and get this thing to shift to make me nauseas again! Ha ha! I really do that type of thing sometimes! Because if I feel too good, I eat more.
  15. I saw my thyroid doctor today who said my thyroid levels are perfect so I can't blame the lack of weight loss on that! He gave me a long boring lecture on cultural changes that have cause obesity to sky rocket. And I should be thrilled with a 1 pound per week weight loss. Really?? Not at the price I paid! LOL. Well, I can happily say I am fully adjusted to this abdominal intruder. No more nausea in the morning. And I only get the severe cramping if I eat more than soup or shake for dinner. I'm sorry both of you have had less than desirable results. This balloon is a pain and I almost had it taken out a few weeks ago, but I hope I can see some more success. I feel like the balloon works BECAUSE it makes me feel sick. The days I don't feel sick, I can eat almost normal portions. I try not to, but I don't really feel full. It just keeps me from feeling hungry. ( I am probably not making sense.) Basically, nothing ever sounds good, so I don't feel like eating. Most of the weight I lost came from the first two weeks when I was so sick I wanted it out. And again a few weeks ago when I almost had it taken out. Anyway, just some random observations.
  16. Did you get out? I'm curious where you live. I've only heard of it out patient before. Does soup stay down for you? That is still the #1 thing I crave. Good luck on your journey!
  17. Congrats an your loss! This is exactly how I was the first two weeks and then off and on the next few weeks and less frequently this last month. The more calories I eat the better I feel. But nothing sounded good or I felt too sick. I'm still trying to find balance. I'm two months out. Good luck!
  18. That would be so frustrating. Did he say anything like, "I should have filled it up more?"
  19. So I went to Hawaii this last week and people complimented how I looked. I am glad I got the balloon.I'm only down 15 lbs but I only wanted to lose about 30-40 to begin with. Tomorrow will be 2 months. I made it through the holidays and two big vacations while losing or maintaining my weight. I go to new York this weekend and then after that, I will be focusing on losing the other 15 lbs. People have begun noticing my weight loss. (I lost 20 on my own before the balloon and then stalled and started to gain weight back) I am down 29 lbs in a year and I'm so happy people can finally tell.
  20. Have you had your Dr appt yet? What did your Dr say?
  21. Thanks! He gave me reglan for my stomach. I take it a few times a day. There was another one for diarrhea but I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head. I only had to take it one time.
  22. I'm sorry you haven't seen huge loss. I wonder if the Dr would replace your balloon with one more filled up for free. He should.
  23. That's awesome! I wish I felt full after 1/3 of a cup. Right away I could eat a cup of food. But I try to limit it to that.
  24. I thought I would post an update on my situation. Monday my dr.scheduled me to have my balloon out today. I was also given IV fluids. I immediately felt better. He also prescribed me some meds to help my stomach contract so my food won't be stuck in my stomach so long. (I'm having gastroparesis). I feel so much better and we cancelled my balloon removal yesterday. So I still have it. I can't believe how sick I was and how IV fluids helped soooooo much. I didn't think I was dehydrated. I hope everyone is doing well. I'm off to Hawaii tomorrow. ????????????????
