  1. Anesthesia is not my friend. That's what caused my issues. Incisions are not bad, intake is awful. Can't manage much. Better than yesterday so you are right it will get better. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App When are you allowed full liquids? I start tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it. I sometimes cramp a little when drinking, but I'm getting in most of my required fluids.
  2. @@mskittykat03 I'm feeling really good, just a little soreness. I'm not taking any pain/nausea meds. I'm sorry you're not feeling good. Each day will get better!
  3. Three days post op and I'm feeling pretty good. I've not had very much pain, just some soreness. I'm not taking any pain or nausea meds. Tomorrow I'll be on the full liquid diets and I'm looking forward to it. I went grocery shopping today and it felt good to get out. I hope everyone else is doing as well post op. Good luck to those coming up on surgery day.
  4. Tomorrow is my day, April 13. Can't wait!
  5. I'm April 13 as well, with only one day of clear liquid. I'm relived because I've heard so many that have had to go two weeks with clear liquids before surgery. Let me know how your surgery goes. You've got it @Billsmafia. I'm freaking out a bit but surely I can manage. Where are you having surgery? I'm in Massachusetts. Sent from my XT1080 using the BariatricPal App In Huntsville (North Alabama). I'm not nervous at all, but my wife, on the other hand, is freaking out a bit. Where is yours happening?

    Scared Spouse

My VSG surgery is April 13. I am not at all nervous and am actually looking forward to this new journey in my life. My wife, on the other hand, is upset and scared, now that the date is quickly approaching. We have two young girls and she is really worried about the risk of me leaving her alone to raise the children. I, on the other had, see it as tool to help me live longer and to be a more energetic and active as both a father and husband. Another issue that she is worried about is to much weight loss. I have always been a big and very strong guy. I've played a lot of sports and have lifted weights most of my life. She fears I will become to thin. My wife loves me dearly and I know that is where most of these fears and anxieties are coming from, but it can feel very unsupportive. Has anyone else had any of these issues? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  8. My surgery date is April 13th! Not nervous yet. I've done a lot of research and watched a lot of YouTube about VSG. Now my wife, on the other hand, is very nervous.

    Any sleevers in Alabama?

    I'm having mine April 13. I was wondering how you're doing post-op?

    Irregular Heart Beat

I am still going forward with the sleeve and am actually looking forward to it. Except for my cardiologist, everyone has been very positive. Thanks for the feedback it helped me a bunch.
  11. I am in the 3rd month of 7 to qualify for insurance for a gastric sleeve. I have occasionally had Afib which has been taken care of with medicine. My cardiologist says I have a good/strong heart, but he doesn't like the idea of weight loss surgery. I regularly exercise and I'm on a low carb diet and the weight does not come off. My primary physician has recommend the sleeve and continues to be very pro gastric surgery. Has anyone else had the sleeve surgery that has had Afib issues? My thought is that losing the weight can only help with the stress on the heart.
