So happy I got the call today that I was approved after getting denied the first time . I can't wait for June 15th [emoji847]

Thank you for your advice . I called them again today to make sure they received everything . They said they resubmitted it and it should take 3-5 business days so I am going to guess next week . Because I also have to start my pre-op liquid diet next week . So fingers crossed ????????

She was suppose to fax it again . I'm going to call them tomorrow . My dad said to call damn near everyday if I have to in order to make sure they got everything and that they are looking it over

Me too I'm crossing my fingers for both of us . Part of me thinks the insurance company just says this shit because I was reading their people said this to them . My stepmom works for an insurance company and she said sometimes people in the doctors office aren't responding to certain things the insurance company request .

My doctor called me and told me my insurance denied me because they didn't receive all of the paperwork for my 6 month weigh in and nutritional visit when in fact they did and never even called my doctors office to resubmit the paperwork. I called my ( third party pre approval company ) from BCBS that's reviews it and they said that was really the only reason and that I do have a BMI of 40 with obstructive sleep apnea and that I have to resubmit the packet again . I just don't want them to deny me all over again . Has anyone else been through this ?

Yes my last weight in was last month and I have a tentative surgery date for July 15th and I'm on week two so hopefully I will hear something this weeks because I would have to start my pre op two week liquid diet next week

You shouldn't be scared and the psych and nutritionist there is so nice. And their psych really doesn't ask that much.

I feel like for you everything will be okay. I Think that's weird that she won't approve you until she speaks to them . Especially since they already gave you the okay to start your pre-PO diet

I'm on day 8 of waiting for my insurance approval from anthem BCBS [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24] it's so frustrating especially when people are like I was approved within a day or a couple of days. Idk what could be taking them so long

Did yours require you to lose a certain amount of weight ? Mine didn't want me to because he said my BMI is borderline . Mine was submitted last week I'm just still waiting

Did you hear back yet ? I'm still waiting it makes me so nervous especially since I already have a date and was called about when to come in for pre-op testing

I was told you can't be on any birth control pills before surgery because it could cause blood clots . I would recommend started a couple weeks after if they say it is okay

I just got my packed and it states it is alright to resume sexual activity 3 weeks after surgery and you must avoid pregnancy for 18 months.

No I go to the Roslyn one and they're amazing . Mine is Dr. Angstadt . I just finished my 6 months and they submitted my paperwork last week so I am waiting to hear back for approval but my tentative date is June 15th and everyone in their office is so nice and encouraging . And I did my sleep study at their office . Did you just start your process ?

I think I'm just worrying because my weight would fluctuate for the six months it would go down then it went up once then back down but my surgeon said I shouldn't really worry

I have Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and I have a BMI of 41 with obstructive sleep apnea ( it's so bad that they told me I start choking )
